โข I originally aimed my
media product at young
adults so from the age 14-
25 because it gave me a
good group of youngsters
to base my models on. I
felt the connotations of my
magazine fitted this age
group very well. The
colours and props I used
are stereotypical for the
age zone I targeted.
3. I aimed for my media product to suit young adults who are very interested in R&B
and urban fashion. I did this by having my models wearing urban clothing and also
I included very relevant contents, e.g. Famous R&B artist such as Rihanna, Trey
Songz, Chris Brown and Beyonce. I focused on a certain audience segment. I chose
to try and target my magazine at aspirers, radicals and underachievers because I
feel they are the most suiting. On the Jicnar scale I would say my target audience
are C2, D, and E. I believe my typical audience would be a young adult aspiring to
become a R&B/Hip Hop music artist with passion and determination to succeed
although they may not be the most academic student. I donโt think a person has to
necessarily like R&B music because the fashion is a big element I tried to include
because it creates a wider target audience including unique, fashionable people.
The clothing I chose to use is very typically Afro-American so that will draw in
potentially American readers also. Most of the famous artists I used were
American because R&B is much more popular over there.
