1 On the navigation bar, click Export.
2 On the Export action bar, click New Export. The Create a New Export
window displays.
3 Select the Participant export type and Blackbaud Simple Word
Merge export format.
4 Click OK. The New Participant Export window displays.

• Select the export type: Participant
• Select the export format: Blackbaud Simple Word Merge

9. Steps to Select the Records to Include in the
Export:
1 On the General tab of the New Participant Export window, click Include,
and then click Selected Records.
2 Search for, and then select the appropriate query. Click Open.
3 You can include or exclude participants by participant type, attendance
status, and event status.
4 If applicable, select the Create control report checkbox to print or
preview the control report.

• Use the Participant Name Tags Not Printed (Event <ask>)
query to filter the participants included in the export.
• Do not include sponsors.

1 In the New Participant Export window, click the Output tab.
2 Under Available Fields to Export, select the field to include in the
export, and then click Select.
3 Repeat step 2 for each field you want to include in the export.

14. Steps to Create the Label Template:
1 On the export parameter window, click Edit merge document.
2 On the Mailings tab in Microsoft® Word, click Start Mail Merge, and
then click Labels.
3 In the Labels Options window, select the desired labels and click OK.
4 Enter the name tag contents including graphics, and on the Add-ins tab,
insert The Raiser’s Edge merge fields.
5 On the Mailings tab, click Update Labels to update the mailing.
6 On the Add-ins tab, click Save and Return to RE7.

16. Steps to Merge The Raiser’s Edge Data with
the Label Template:
1 On the export parameter file, click Merge Now.
2 In the Document name field, assign a location for the file and enter a
name.
3 Click Save.

custom name tags for each participant.
• Select the Label type and use Avery® 8395 Self Adhesive Name
Badges.
• Include the following output fields in the label template:
• Title 1
• Name
• Merge The Raiser’s Edge data with the label template to create
your custom name tags.
