What research methods (e.g. primary, secondary, qualitative, quantitative) did you use when completing the
assignments in year 11 for Unit 9 (Photography Techniques) and Unit 18 (Advertising)?
Unit 9
Secondary research for looking at different photographer’s for inspiration
Primary research/quantitate research because I made them answer in a yes or a no.
How did you collate, store and use the information when researching for your year 11 units?
(E.g. did you book mark key websites? Keep a list of websites used? Print off or save any info for your folders?)
What research techniques (e.g. using the library, the internet, watching videos, reading info, recces, practises,
plans etc.) did you use when completing the assignments in year 11 for Unit 9 (Photography Techniques) and
Unit 18 (Advertising) ?
Unit 9
In this unit I used the internet, watching videos, recces, practice images and getting inspiration from other photographers
like Chester Boyes.
Unit 18
In this unit I used watching videos, print adverts and print techniques.
If you didn’t use some of the methods in year 11, would use you them if you were to do your projects again?
How and why would you do this?
I would have used qualitative in my response boxes so that I could have better feedback and more ideas from other
people in how I could improve rather than just a one worded answer.
Next time this would have helped because I would know exactly what I would need to do as appose to a vague answer.

Used bookmarks for the favourite websites so they were easy to find, I used blogger to store all my media work. Also used
the local machines in school to store my media work in my Btec folder. And finally used a paper wallet to keep paper work
in that is kept in a class room.
