I admitthat I was worriedabout the timingbecause we onlyhave around25minuteseach
classas it is the lastone of the school timetable.Ihadprepareda lessonwithaprojectoranda
CD playerandI was afraidthat technologydoesnotfunctionproperly buteverythingwas
successful.
There were noabsentsandthe grouprecognizedthe routine tostartthe Englishlesson,thenI
introducedVanesaandwe continuedwithourlesson.Aspartof the warmup activity,a
volunteercompletedthe calendarandall the groupparticipated.
As regardsplanning,the studentsshowedenthusiasmaboutthe pictures - presentedwiththe
projector- and howto describe them.Althoughtheywere verynoisy,all of themwantedto
share so I namedeachone and askedthemto take turns – in thiswayI triedto show themto
respectthe other. Some of themare shyto speakinEnglishbutI motivatedthemrepeating
and recastingtoimprove theirlanguage andforthisisalsoimportantthat everyone listens
his/herclassmate.
Althoughmostof the classthere was teacher-studentinteraction,the lastactivitywasinpair-
workand we couldmake it the nextclassbecause we were runout of time.
Studentsworkedwiththe bookandthose whodidnothave it I deliveredphotocopies,soall of
themcouldwork.As Vanesasuggested,Ishouldrevisethe drawingbecause itwouldhelp
themto rememberandalsoclearup forthose whohad photocopies. Anothersuggestionwas
to use more the board and I will tryto checkactivities,homeworkortoassignitusingthe
board.
The lessonwasverydynamic,afterthe routine,we checkedhomeworkandthenwe worked
withthe projectorandtheyproduceda nice oral practice. Theywere involvedwiththe
questionsabouttheirbreakfastincontrastto the onesshowedinthe pictures. Afterthat,they
were askedtoread silentlyashortparagraph and thentheydid a listeningactivityonthe
book.There wasno problemwiththe listeningandthe activitywas appealingastheyhadto
tickthe fooditemstheyheard.AsIrealizedthatwe didn’thave time todothe productionpart
of the lessonIdecidedtoassignhomeworkinthe book.
As the bell rangit wasa chaos (as VanesasuggestedIshouldhave writtenthe activityonthe
board) and all of themstartedto pick uptheirschool objectsto queue upand I deliveredthem

a bookmark to use and tickhomework.Ithinkitwas a nice ideabecause nextclasswhenwe
checkedit,all of themopenedtheirbooksandIsaw the bookmarkersandsurprisinglyall of
themhad done the activity assigned.
Regardingsmile,Ididsmile inclassbutIwas nervousdue toVanesa’sobservation.Anyway,I
try everylessontoshowIreallycare for themand I heardeveryanecdote - mostof them
relatedtothe topic - theywant to share as a way to create a good rapport,and alsoit is
necessarybecause itmayhelpyouto encourage themtouse the secondlanguage.Inrelation
to my positiontowardsthe class,Iwasconcernedaboutthe projectorso I turneditoff and
thenI usedthe CD playersoI was dependingonthe technologydisplaysbecauseIdidnot
wantto somethinghappentothem.

REGISTER: TRAINEE: Belén de la Cruz SCHOOL: Nº 180- Mariano Moreno - 6th Year C MENTOR TEACHER: Prof. Joana Herrán DATE: 28/08/2018 – 16:50 TO 17:30 I admitthat I was worriedabout the timingbecause we onlyhave around25minuteseach classas it is the lastone of the school timetable.Ihadprepareda lessonwithaprojectoranda CD playerandI was afraidthat technologydoesnotfunctionproperly buteverythingwas successful. There were noabsentsandthe grouprecognizedthe routine tostartthe Englishlesson,thenI introducedVanesaandwe continuedwithourlesson.Aspartof the warmup activity,a volunteercompletedthe calendarandall the groupparticipated. As regardsplanning,the studentsshowedenthusiasmaboutthe pictures - presentedwiththe projector- and howto describe them.Althoughtheywere verynoisy,all of themwantedto share so I namedeachone and askedthemto take turns – in thiswayI triedto show themto respectthe other. Some of themare shyto speakinEnglishbutI motivatedthemrepeating and recastingtoimprove theirlanguage andforthisisalsoimportantthat everyone listens his/herclassmate. Althoughmostof the classthere was teacher-studentinteraction,the lastactivitywasinpair- workand we couldmake it the nextclassbecause we were runout of time. Studentsworkedwiththe bookandthose whodidnothave it I deliveredphotocopies,soall of themcouldwork.As Vanesasuggested,Ishouldrevisethe drawingbecause itwouldhelp themto rememberandalsoclearup forthose whohad photocopies. Anothersuggestionwas to use more the board and I will tryto checkactivities,homeworkortoassignitusingthe board. The lessonwasverydynamic,afterthe routine,we checkedhomeworkandthenwe worked withthe projectorandtheyproduceda nice oral practice. Theywere involvedwiththe questionsabouttheirbreakfastincontrastto the onesshowedinthe pictures. Afterthat,they were askedtoread silentlyashortparagraph and thentheydid a listeningactivityonthe book.There wasno problemwiththe listeningandthe activitywas appealingastheyhadto tickthe fooditemstheyheard.AsIrealizedthatwe didn’thave time todothe productionpart of the lessonIdecidedtoassignhomeworkinthe book. As the bell rangit wasa chaos (as VanesasuggestedIshouldhave writtenthe activityonthe board) and all of themstartedto pick uptheirschool objectsto queue upand I deliveredthem

Regardingsmile,Ididsmile inclassbutIwas nervousdue toVanesa’sobservation.Anyway,I try everylessontoshowIreallycare for themand I heardeveryanecdote - mostof them relatedtothe topic - theywant to share as a way to create a good rapport,and alsoit is necessarybecause itmayhelpyouto encourage themtouse the secondlanguage.Inrelation to my positiontowardsthe class,Iwasconcernedaboutthe projectorso I turneditoff and thenI usedthe CD playersoI was dependingonthe technologydisplaysbecauseIdidnot wantto somethinghappentothem.
