My Breaking The Norm Experiment
1. My Breaking the Norm Experiment
In Today's society Interracial relationships is still looked down upon. Eau claire states "Before 1967
interracial relationships was illegal, In fact mixed race marriages were illegal in 16 states in 1961".
As advanced as we Americans have come with technology and equality still many people have an
opinion on couples who are of the opposite race. In my experiment me and an African American
friend of mine went to local restaurants in various locations and noted down the service we
experienced from These different restaurants and venues. We expected to get mixed reactions from
the two different locations. Some positive along with negative reactions, After all we are testing this
theory in a small southern town.
Our first stop was in Murray County, The Environment in Murray county is very southern. The
people are Judgmental and There are very few cultures other than Caucasians. We was Hesitant as to
what the reaction would be from these local people. Our first stop was at this mom and pop
restaurant. The Majority of these customers are local hard working southern individuals, The
majority have never been outside of Murray county nor are as welcoming to other races invading
their town. Immediately we noticed that most of the eyes was on us. We Entered the southern
restaurant Holding hands to make it evident that we was a couple. I felt as if I didn't Belong and felt
totally out of place.Still sticking with my assignment we stayed. The atmosphere was immediately

3. Informative Speech For Human Trafficking
All lives matter.
What's the word that describes someone who thinks that the world revolves around them? Self–
centered? Egocentric? Narcissist? Vain? Self–seeking? Selfish? Hm. Is that too harsh? We live in
society today where we are only concerned about ourselves. Somehow, we have adopted the
mentality that life revolves strictly around me and what I want. We are so consumed with ourselves
that we have totally forgotten about the thousands of people who struggle every day for their life.
Who are these people that I am talking about? The people who are promised a better life but instead
are trapped into this terrible system where they are forced to do things they never knew about. This
system is called Human trafficking. Today, I would like to convince you that this world does not
revolve around you. What exactly is human trafficking? We have all heard of it, but what actually is
it. It's a modern form of slavery. It involves controlling a person through force, fraud, or coercion to
exploit the victim for forced labor, sexual exploitation, or both. It strips victims of their freedom and
violates our nation's promise that every person in the U.S. is guaranteed basic human rights. This is
a crime (Beccera). Sadly, the United States is widely regarded as a destination country for human
trafficking. According to the federal reports, nearly 14,500 to 17,500 victims are trafficked in the
United States annually. That doesn't even include the number of victims that are trafficked WITHIN
the United States. If you are looking for a defined definition of human trafficking, California
legislatures states it as being "ALL acts involved in the recruitment, abduction, transport, harboring,
transfer, sale or receipt of persons, within national or across international borders, through force,
coercion, fraud or deception, to place persons in situations of slavery or slavery like conditions,
forced labor or services, such as forced prostitution or sexual services, domestic servitude, bonded
sweatshop labor, or other debt bondage." (Beccera) This is a crime that needs to come to an end.
While we look at human trafficking as just one thing, there are various types of this crime. One, is
sex trafficking. When you hear of

5. College Students and Sub-culture
Sub–cultures are something everyone is a part of in any society they live in. Everyone lives in some
kind of culture; everyone has an ethnic background, a social standing, possible political, moral, and
religious views and each of these items submits that person into multiple sub–groups within their
culture. I, myself, am a part of numerous sub–cultures.
Starting with the largest I am a human being; I live and function as a human and not as an animal or
plant. This seems a little farfetched to apply as a sub–culture but it is a proven fact that even some
animal groups have communities and cultures of their own. Also, there are even some humans who
choose to live an animalistic lifestyle. In addition, I am Caucasian or white ... Show more content on

With this being said that means that I am also part of a popular sub–culture within American
Universities. Although, U.S. News reported in 2012 that Communication Studies was not among the
top five most popular majors at Troy University. According to these statistics students whose choses
major is Communication Studies make up less than 7% of the student population (U.S. News). So
although I can identify with many in this sub–culture within America I cannot relate with nearly as
many people of this sub–culture at Troy University. I can still create relationships with college
students in general despite my major.
There are not many nonverbal factors to analyze for this sub–culture but there are quite a few verbal
factors. College students have a language of their own. They know the struggles of class schedules,
club meetings, registration, living on a dime, and buying books dirt cheap. This verbal code often
disconnects college students from people similar to their age due to the fact that much of the
subjects to be spoken about are quite different. This is not to say that college students cannot
communicate with non–college students but they often find it easier to relate to those who
understand their lingo, joys, struggles, and more.
The societal class that college attendees belong to has always had the stigma of being the "haves" of
society. In recent years; however, many who attend college come from

7. Persuasive Essay On Gun Control
Remember these numbers: 120 Million Gun Owners and 600 Million guns.
One of the perennial tropes of the gun grabbers of the national Socialist left is that gun ownership is
declining and seemingly after years and years of record gun sales the number of guns remains at 300
Million. Basic scientific logic tells us that positive flow into a control space will result in an
accumulation, and yet we're supposed to believe this isn't the case. Recent analysis and polling has
dispensed with these mythical notions.
120 Million Gun Owners
A recent poll by Wall Street Journal has only confirmed what we've known all along, that gun
ownership is expanding at an incredible rate. While the folks who avail themselves armed protection
have tried to disdain this for the 'commoners', the people have instead stocked up on firearms,
ammunition and other supplies. Anyone who has compared the crowds at gun shows at present with
only a few months ago can attest to this phenomena.
The question was one of the last in the survey and asked 'for statistical purposes only', but it puts the
lie to the gun grabber narrative of declining gun ownership. This falsehood made no sense given
recent events and trends. People generally want to be able to protect themselves from Islamic
Terrorism, and don't trust the gun grabbers with their next incremental abrogation of everyone's
common sense civil rights. The people know that as is typical of the national Socialist Left, they are
never honest about

Wage Gaps and Demographic Behavior
*Works Cited Not Included
We examine the possible sources of the larger racial and ethnic wage gaps for men than for women
in the U.S. Specifically, using a newly created employer–employee matched data set containing
workers in essentially all occupations, industries, and regions, we examine whether these wage
differences can be accounted for by differences between men and women in the patterns of racial
and ethnic segregation within occupation, industry, establishments and occupation–establishment
cells. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first paper to examine segregation by race and
ethnicity at the level of establishment and job cell. Our results indicate that greater segregation

In this paper we examine more closely the possible sources of the differences in the wage gap,
paying particular attention to whether these differences can be accounted for by differences between
men and women in the patterns of racial and ethnic segregation.(3) More generally, we believe that
research on why racial and ethnic wage gaps differ by sex may ultimately prove useful in helping to
understand the sources of these gaps. For example, if one believes that the observed wage
differentials are the result of employer or customer discrimination (e.g., Darity and Mason, 1998)
then one needs to try to explain why this discrimination is apparently more severe with respect to
male employees. In general, if one believes that some other unmeasured characteristic is responsible
for these wage differences, then evidence that this characteristic is more important for men than for
women would bolster one's case.
This inquiry fits into an extensive literature on the role of segregation in generating racial, ethnic,
and sex differences in labor markets, but takes this literature in a new direction. In the literature on
sex differences in wages, considerable attention has focused on the role of occupational segregation,
in particular the concentration of women in low–wage occupations (e.g., Johnson and Solon, 1986;
Sorensen, 1989; Macpherson and

I. Introduction The housing demographics of low–income communities have large effects for
residents living in those areas. The objective of this report is to shed light on how the housing
market in the city of Oakland affects current and future residents. In order to analyze its affects, I
look at several factors within the housing market. There are several factors explaining why cities
similar to Oakland are continually impoverished and deprived. Some of the factors that explain why
cities like Oakland stagnate and remain impoverished are the income distribution and poverty levels
of residents in Oakland over the past decade, the increase in rent and/or spending on housing, and
the current condition of housing stock. Together, these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The ACS is conducted in 1–year, 3–year, and 5–year estimates. When deciding upon which dataset
to use, I thought about which dataset would trump the others. Opposed to the 1–year estimates, the
3–year estimates collected 36–months worth of data and had a larger sample size than 1–year so it
was more reliable. Additionally, the data was more current than the 5–year estimates so I
conclusively decided to use data from the 3–year estimates, as they were more precise and more
current. In the following section, I will explain the results that I observed through the juxtaposition
of both datasets. Additionally, I will use tables and line graphs to support the results. III. Results
Pulling relevant variables from the two datasets, I compiled Table 1 and Figure 2 (same results, just
in visual format), which depict the demographics of the city of Oakland from 2000 to 2010. Table 1
and Figure 1 both show that the population of Oakland decreased about 2.61% from 399,477 in
2000 to 389,301 in 2010. In addition, I have also provided on the same table the number of owner
and renter occupied units to illustrate the interesting shift of owner–occupied housing units to
renter–occupied housing units. From 2000 to 2010, the percentage of owner–occupied housing
decreased from 41.4% to 41.2% while the percentage of renter–occupied housing increased from

Understanding the environment of a school is a very important part of teaching. A teacher should be
aware of personal, community and cultural assets of students to meet them at their levels. Knowing
what resources are in a community where a school is located and the living conditions your students

environment at home. It needs to be welcoming and engaging for everyone who comes inside. The

For unknown reasons, patients were eligible for treatment in the current week, but would be out of

sometimes not paid for weeks. Factoring other major company expenses such as insurance, vehicle

By the twentieth century over two million Germans have immigrated to the United States.
Regardless of where they settled they came from a multitude of areas and for a variety of reasons.
They were a highly diversified group in terms of regional origin, religious and political orientation,
education, and socioeconomic standing.
There were a multitude of push factors, or issues that caused Germans to want to leave Germany
from inside the country. One of those is that during the time of World War One, Germany's
government started having mandatory military service. This meant that any male over the age of 15
would either have to serve in Germany's military or they would have to leave the country. Many
people did not want to serve, and as a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These railroads even kept free hotels. This was ideal for many immigrants because they usually
came into the country with barely any money. Another pull factor was that relatives and friends of
German natives who migrated first would write back and encourage others to follow. This led to
"chain migrations".
We can see by looking at 4 census report where most of the Germans migrated to where they came
to New York. I found that the 1880 and 1920 were pretty similar. There were a few more counties
that increased but most stayed the same. I t wasn't until the 1960 census that things started really
changing. I also noticed that the 3 counties in upper New York: St. Lawrence, Franklin and Clinton
and Washington county which is located on the eastern side were always in the lowest percentile
through all 4 censuses, they never changed. Also after the 1920 census more Germans were living in
the NY City area then before. Also Erie County, which was the highest in the 1880 census, stayed
high throughout out all 4 censuses. From the first census to the last, it seems the trend for the most
counties with the highest German population were moving out toward western New York.
Looking at the 1880 census the county with the highest amount of German was Erie County. Why
was the county such a popular place to come? The Erie Canal had opened in 1825. It made Western
New York easily accessible from the Atlantic coast for the first time. For an immigrant arriving at

26. Education Can End Systematic Oppression
The subject of expectations for higher education is one that tends to spark impassioned debate
among educators, students and parents alike. In Pedagogy of the Oppressed Paulo Freire presses his
audience to consider such expectations in light of one's own intentions, motives, and affections
toward those to be educated (Freire 50). He goes even further to suggest that a love for one another
through empathetic dialogue, especially on the part of the educator, must be present in order for fear
to be wiped away and liberation to eventually take its place (Freire 89,90). It was that dialogical
approach that made Freire's literacy programs so successful in Brazil until "his work was interrupted

For children without the advantage of origin of birth, struggles throughout the formative years will
affect their learning process and expectations for the future. Many immigrant children suffer the
same disadvantages as children in poverty. This fact should not be ignored when considering
expectations for a future college degree. Freire posits that the cycle of dehumanization can only be
broken when a "radical posture" is taken by the oppressor, a posture in which the oppressor enters
into the situation of the oppressed through humility (44, 48, 49). An empathetic approach to
individuals is essential if we are to understand the challenges they face and have a realistic hope for
future success and change. The oppressed in our society also include individuals who have suffered
abuse and neglect. Hundreds of thousands of children have been placed in the foster care system due
to an array of maltreatment (Child Welfare). Children who are neglected do not experience the same
developmental advantages as children raised in a nurturing environment. Research has shown that
neglect in the early years of life affects a child's brain development (Hamilton). Studies have also
shown that the impact of neglect may become more severe as a child grows older and eventually
have lasting effects on intellectual, behavioral, social, and cognitive development (DePanfilis).

This statistic alone shows that women are viewed as less important and unworthy of the same
financial stability that a man is entitled to. This is an important issue because women are the
breadwinners for more than 50% of American households. (The White House) Families and children
depend on women to get a substantial income, and without receiving as high of a salary as a man,
the households who rely on women are at a disadvantage. Simple school supplies, medical expenses,
and college tuition are all harder to obtain and pay for for those families who rely on women to
provide the bulk or all of the income. It takes mothers an extra six months to acquire the same
amount of money that fathers earn in one year, which sets them back and makes it harder for women
to live a life equal to that of a man. (The White House) While the Equal Pay Act was put into place
in 1963, the pay gap definitely still exists. This shows that even though there are restrictions on
unequal pay, somehow businesses and corporations are getting around it and allowing men to make
more money than women. Some may say that there are obvious solutions to this pay gap. They say
that women should receive a higher education to allow them to get higher paying jobs, or apply to
executive positions in order to close the pay gap. These so called solutions are not well thought out

External Estimates of the Number of Abortions Pooled and by Individual Year
The counts of the total number of abortions for the study period years come from published
information from the Guttmacher Institute's census of abortion providers (Finer and Henshaw 2003;
Jones and Kavanaugh 2011). Following prior research, I used the CDC's age distribution for each
year to calculate the expected number of abortions that occurred in the age distribution of Add
Health for each year, except in the years when an age distribution was collected by the Guttmacher
Institute's survey of abortion patients (Kost and Jones 2007; Fu et al. 1998). Because the CDC data
is provided in ages ranges (under 15; 15–19; 20–24; 25–29; 30–34; 35–39; 40+), the Add Health
data was restricted to best match these ranges (see Appendix 2 for further details).
The overall quality analyses (years 1994 through 2007) could potentially include pregnancies
between the ages of 10 (the youngest individuals in Wave 1 in 1994) and 32 (the oldest individuals

36. Persuasive Essay On Homework
Homework This day in age, high school students are feeling more stress than working adults, and
kids are starting to swerve away from learning. Both teens and children are at risk of health
problems due to anxiety and a shortage of family time, playing, and sleeping. Public schools have 6
hours to cover what homeschools cover in 4, and yet it seems as if school follows teens home. The
cause for all of this is too much homework. Homework causes students to sleep less, have more
stress, and even forces students to give up extracurricular activities. This is currently a huge problem
in our society and there's proof to show that it causes nothing but harm. Homework may be thought
of to help kids improve their test scores and studies, but this common misconception has our whole
school systems fooled beyond belief. Over the years, the study of this controversial topic has been
operated heavily. For example, Duke University psychology professor Harris Cooper conducted
studies called the 2006 Meta Analysis that are heavily renowned in the community. some studies he
examined showed homework can cause physical and emotional fatigue, fuel negative attitudes about
learning and limit leisure time for children. This is beyond true nowadays, where our school systems
push kids to sleep less, stress more, and spend less time with family. The fact that most of us
students get less than the recommended 8 hours a night and are given on average one hour of
homework per class is awful to

38. Community Health In Fresh Meadows In New York City
As a resident in Fresh Meadows for twenty years, conducting a community health assessment was
an opportunity to learn more about the neighborhood. Located in the northeastern section of New
York 's Queens County, this small town was first named "Flushing Meadows" before the American
Revolution. This was due to large areas of wet meadows that were also partially located in Flushing.
Nonetheless, Fresh Meadows has become home to many with its diverse community in cultures and
ages, and activities for the local.

When the Internet Attacks! : Cyber Bullying and Blogging
Engagement in internet attacks is a disturbing way in which individuals seek attention at the cost of
another person's self worth. With the use of bullying to make others feel small, snark to increase
their own self importance, and distortions of the truth to make things more "interesting", this is a
large issue that effects many lives in different ways. The internet has become a large part of most
daily lives in the United States, according the United States census 74.8 % of households now have
access to internet, compared to 17 years ago when only 18.2% of households. The number of houses

Victims of cyber bullying often exhibit psychosocial behaviors of: depression, anxiety, severe
isolation, and in some cases suicide.(O'Keeffe & Clarke–Pearson, 2011) Victims however still feel
the residual results of online attacks frequently offline. The person causing the issues may not be
relentless offline; however others that saw the online attack will bring up issues again and again,
leaving the individual with no escape from attacks.
When it comes to larger or more professional blogs it isn't defined as bullying, but as it is called
"snark". Ryan Holiday explains snark as: "you know you are dealing with snark when you try to
respond to a comment and realize there is nothing you can say."(Holiday, 2012, p. 197) The
definition of bullying that was earlier had the same sort of definition, a long standing violence in
which an individual is unable to defend themselves from the attacks. Many bloggers take bullying

45. The American Dream
The American Dream is likable to any other living entity in that it will constantly change in order to
conform to the environment to which it occupies. To garner a further understanding of the abstract
concept that is the "American Dream" I looked to the writings of early American novelists such as
Thomas Wolfe and, the original coiner of said term, James Truslow Adams. In their writings, they
had described the "American Dream" to be, in essence, the representation of the pursuit of a given
individual to reach and attain their respective goal through hard work and determination (Library of
Congress, 2017). For many, the American Dream consists of potentially attaining their respective
dream career, settling down, owning a home, and starting a family that can thrive in that home.
Unfortunately for many Americans, career aspiration do not always play out the way that we intend
for them to. In the place of attainment of career goals some settle at buying their own home. Though
much has changed since the term was first coined in the early 1930s, the American Dream continues
to thrive today, no matter the trials nor tribulations. In this particular day and age, we consider the
development of the American millennial generation and their pursuit of said dream. According to the
most recent data provided by the U.S. Census Bureau, homeownership among millennials has been

Donald Hutcherson, an Ohio sociologist put this into a financial prospective in one of his researches
by comparing illegal earnings of ex–convicts and those without prior conviction. Hutcherson finds
that the former earns an average of $1,070 in illegal income while the latter only manages $120
(Barnes, 2013). The higher earning average after a stint behind bar is a good indicator of how prison
can help broaden criminal network and knowledge for some of these convicts.
One of the most heinous crimes in the prison system is sex offense – rapist and child molester are
placed in the bottom of the prison hierarchy. Prison life for sex offender, especially pedophiles can
be hellish. Margot Bach, a spokeswoman for California Department of Corrections said "Taking [a
pedophile] out would gain [the killer] a lot more respect among the other inmates" (James, 2003).
The housing situation for sex offenders can be quite precarious. Inmate housing managers usually
consult caseworkers to make an arrangement for a sex offender to stay in a sex offender–only
housing unit for a purpose of treatment and education. One of the benefits of this living arrangement
is for inmate safety since sex offenders are often subjected to ridicule, physical altercation, and
sexual victimization. If the case is severe enough to be presented in the news media, a particular
inmate will be placed in a protective custody unit – so called "PC up" to avoid physical abuse or
even death.

Interpretation
The interpretation that can be derived from the above analysis is that it would be better for Frank to
think about diversifying the business rather than acquiring GSD. Even Frank knew that it was a
huge risk to acquire GSD considering the heavy debt the business would be in after the acquisition,
besides Calveta Dining would find it difficult to train GSD employees to the work culture of Calveta

58. The Effects Of Autonomous Cars On Society Essay

Argumentative Essay While researching articles about autonomous cars, I found a few authors who
wrote about the effects of autonomous cars on society and whether or not these should be introduced
to our world's roads. On one hand, some authors believe "self–driving" cars should not be allowed
on roads. They believe this revolution in the change of cars will destroy large industries which
includes the auto–insurance industry, parking industry, and auto–aftermarket industry. However,
with the expansion of these new technologies, it could introduce new industries as well. Some say
autonomous cars draw questions of ethicality with accidents because there is not a human driving
the vehicle. The truth is, human drivers cause a shocking amount of accidents each year which could
be greatly decreased by autonomous cars. My goal in this paper is to argue that autonomous or "self
driving" cars should be introduced to our world's roads because there will be less accidents, massive
economic benefits, and a more efficient form of transportation. To achieve this goal, I have
organized my paper into three sections. In this first section, I will provide evidence and discuss the
amount of accidents human drivers create on the roads. I will then explain how "self driving" cars
can limit the amount of accidents and discuss the ethics of autonomous cars. In the second section, I
will explain how autonomous cars can benefit the

60. United States Census Bureau Population Projection
According to the December 2012 United States Census Bureau Population Projection, the nation
will continue its trend of consistent diversification. By 2024, the non–Hispanic white population
will show a decrease in numbers. Minorities including Hispanics, African Americans and Asians
will double, and other groups will increase by at least half. Eventually, non–Hispanic whites will not
be seen as a majority, but as an equally represented group among its ethnic counterparts (U.S.
Bureau, 2014). This projection can not be transposed to the country's nursing population. Non–
Hispanic white nurses often vastly outnumber other groups (Bessent, 2009, p6). The nursing
workforce needs to actively and continually diversify its professionals to provide competent care for
the nation's ever–changing population. The first step to gaining an equally represented nursing
workforce is to ensure all races receive an opportunity to advance their education and become
registered nurses. Many cultural beliefs are obstacles for minorities. Families believe that a woman's
place is just within the household or that college is not an option for their children (Wros, Doutrich,
and Ruiz, 2009). The nursing industry must advertise vigilantly to both the children and their
families that culture should not hold anyone back from achieving their goals, and a nursing career is

in January 1974, administered by the Social Security Administration (SSA). SSI has been highly
successful in helping society's most vulnerable citizens. These individuals rely on SSI benefits in

Children as well as adults can get benefits because of blindness and disability. Blind means you are
either blind or have very poor eyesight. Disabled means you have a physical or mental problem that
keeps you from working and is expected to last a year or to result in death. For a child, Social
Security looks at how his or her disability affects everyday life. Individuals' monthly SSI benefit
amounts are also affected by their income, resources, and living arrangements. The more income
you have, the less your SSI payment will be. If your income is over the allowable limit, you cannot
receive SSI. The value of a persons resources (the things they own) determines whether they are
eligible for SSI payments. The limit for countable resources is $2000 for an individual, and $3000
for a couple. The living arrangements are important because payments vary depending if you live in
your own place such as a house, apartment, or trailer; or in someone else's household; or in an
institution. The benefits are financed from general revenues, and some states supplement the Federal
benefit. When states add to the federal SSI payment, then the SSI payment levels are higher in those
states. The maximum federal payment changes yearly. As of January 1, 2000, the federal benefit rate
was $512 for an individual and $769 for a couple. Factors such as race, gender and education all

demographics, according to the 2000 census, they did form 12% of the population, but by the 2010
census this figure has increased over 16% (51 million people) this was due to immigration and birth
rates, therefore over the years they have become more influential as they are now a larger proportion

This could be due to George D. Bush though, as in the 2000 he made a significant effort to pitch for
the Hispanic vote, with the help of him speaking fluent Spanish. However, in 2012 these figures
went down to 27%. With 71% of the Hispanic population supporting Obama and the Democratic
beliefs such as rights for ethnic minorities, welfare and supporters of the 'dream act' allowing for
naturalisation. There was also evidence of the alienation of this group however, by Romney in 2012,
whose reference to 'self–deportation' and anti–immigration views in the campaign is thought to have
affected his chances of winning in several states and for some future Republicans in their
campaigns. But, Hispanics did help push Republicans to victory in a few 2014 races, as when Cory
Gardner ousted Colorado Senator.
When looking at political campaigns in recent years there has been increasing evidence in the
parties' campaigns for the support of this racial group as they are being targeted in the campaigns in
a strategic manner, by campaigning in Spanish or supporting citizenship, or heavy focus on Hispanic
candidates from the parties for examples the Republican focus was on candidates such as Marco
Rubio and Ted Cruz.
It is true that the Hispanic population, at 53 million, is still much smaller than the non–Hispanic
population, at around 260 million. But it's also a population that represents a massive opportunity
for either party. In

72. The United State Census Bureau
According, the United State Census Bureau, the U.S. population is increasing, every eight seconds a
child is born. With the population increasing sort of rapidly the construction of new neighborhoods
it is going to be necessary to house these prospering families. Also, the establishment of stores are
going to be needed. Therefore, neighborhood stores are going to become available and malls too, but
they both are going to vary in certain aspects. Neighborhood stores are stores that provides
accommodations to the locals. Malls, on the other hand, are large buildings made of multiple
competitive retails stores. Nevertheless, neighborhood stores and malls seem very similar, but when
looking at their square footages, remoteness from home, and marketability, they are quite different.
Community stores tend to be small, whereas malls are quite large. A commonly known
neighborhood store like Fiesta covers only 100,000 square feet not counting the parking lot (About
Fiesta). While a shopping complex like The Woodlands Mall covers 1,338,628 square footage
without counting the 5,800 parking spots, and is two stories high (The Woodlands Mall). Even
without knowing the square footage of both establishment. Just hearing the word "mall" one could
conclude the mall is definitely the largest of the two. However, the difference is obvious, Fiesta is
about 1/13 of size of The Woodlands Mall. Figuratively, Fiesta and its parking lot probably would
take up only one section of the many parking

74. The United States Census Bureau Agency
The United States Census Bureau reported in a recent news release that one in five children receive
food stamps. The report continues to notate statistics that this is a dramatic increase from the one in
eight children that received benefits prior to the recession as of 2007, and that the number of
children living in single parent households has tripled from the information gathered in 1940. (1)
These parents struggle on a daily basis to provide for their children in a manner that is barely
comfortable by middle class standards. Aside from the challenge of providing basic nutrition, these
parents are challenged with furnishing their families with a roof over their heads, basic utilities, a
safe child care experience, and sufficient clothing to wear to school. These parents already have to
sift through hand me downs from relatives and community organizations for clothing with minimal
stains and shoes without holes in them. When their utilities are about to be shut off, they sometimes
wait in lines for hours for a small grant to help keep the lights on and the house warm. They have to
bow their heads in shame when asking for the help of their churches and local community. They do
everything in their power to provide a sense of normalcy to their children's lives. Their children are
already left out of school and extracurricular activities because they cannot afford the costs and are
often working during the times that these activities are taking place. When an occasional treat

Techniques used to categorize the models of church planting Things that lay influence on various
models used in planting of churches include: one is denominational ecclesiology, two is if a mission
agency or church is carrying out the actual planting, three is the planting body ethos, four is the
spiritual and theological planting body outlook, five being the direct correlation of factors to the
context which includes a community/area sociological understanding of where the church is to be
planted and six is the planting team size. The terminology employed in describing the different
planting models are divergent and a lot of terms are gotten from the obstetrics or horticulture world,
but others are derived from the military, nautical and astronomical worlds (Murray, Laying
Foundations, 260). Christine groups planting models in terms of the body performing the sponsoring
say the agency, church or any other body (Robinson and Christine, Planting tomorrow's Churches
Today, 126). Murray defines four historical church planting categories: one is the replacement
planting where it is conducted in places where the church is being closed, two is the pioneer planting
which is done in places where there are no Christian witnesses, three is the saturation planting that
mainly concerns with ensuring that each group of people that is identifiable has unlimited church
