Throughout my entire life I have never had any real interest in musical theatre. One
time when I was in about 5th grade, my grandfather took me, my brother and my
cousin to a showing of the Nutcracker. Let me tell you, I tried my hardest, I really
tried, but I couldn t stay awake for the entire performance. This experience I had put
a bad taste in my mouth as for the next several years, I never attended another musical
theatreevent.
One day in the spring, I was going through Golden Bear Advising, and I saw that
Berkeley recommended that everyone should listen to the Hamilton soundtrack. I
didn t know much about the musical other than that a couple of my friends in my
high school s theatre company listened to it. My first thought was that it must be
better than the Nutcracker, so I decided I d give it a chance. About 15 seconds into
Alexander Hamilton I remember saying out loud, hmm wow, this bumps! My first
time listening to the soundtrack, I didn t listen to it all the way through, but I was

nationwide use filters on their public computers (Light, 2008). The ability to access
pornographic content through the use of public library computers has been a concern

On October 24, 2007, Councilmember Pete Constant asked for a policy that would
install filters on library public access computers in order to reduce or eliminate
children from viewing lewd material (Light, 2008). On April 21, 2009, City Council

Megalomaniacs In Elie Wiesel s Night And Last Night
Simplistic complications that add up to mere first world problems can seem to be
microscopic road bumps, or they can measure up to unconditional acts of evil on
mankind. Megalomaniacs, who find pleasure through sadism, can only make most of
those issues worse. While there is a difference between breaking a nail and dying, the
potential for true malevolence is still existent in both. Although it may seem that
corrupt actions cannot bring out righteousness, that is not quite the case. At the same
time, closing down a chain restaurant may not sound like a significant moment to
someone who has undergone unspeakable suffering, but it could be the equivalent to

reason Elie was able to survive. Elie s altruistic actions towards his father are what
allowed them to venture so far. That same hole in a family is left in Last Night at
the Lobster. Manny relies on his employees in a similar fashion to how family
members depend on each other. Without the support of his crew, the Red Lobster
would not be able to function. And to Manny, the Lobster s workers are his family
due to his excessive commitment to his job. When the chief executive officers
decide that Manny s chain is not reaching their standards, they make the order to
shut it down. This in some sense can be compared to Elie s family being split up.
