data doesn't even specifically represent nonfatal firearm related crimes. Even though illegal gun
trafficking is undoubtedly tied to juvenile gun violence and other crimes like drug dealing and gang
crime, legally obtaining a gun is not difficult at all and a lot of the statistics above is related to
domestic firearm crime from peoples who obtained the weapons legally. Most all people who obtain

Another reason why I strongly believe that policing in Ontario is good is because of the T.A.V.I.S.
program. The Toronto Anti–Violence Intervention Strategy is a group of officers who focus on
community policing and interaction with the community. They are deployed within a neighbourhood
who are experiencing a rise in crime, and it's their job to try to figure out the root cause of the
problem by cooperating with the community. Their goals are to make neighbourhoods safer, not by

In about every nation, gun control has always been an issue of controversy. Gun control laws are
quite different from country to country, each possessing different requirements, specifications, and

The main argument against is the notion that no would–be criminal would ever comply with it

There was a possible security threat regarding a tractor–trailer that occurred in Times Square in New
York City. The New York Police Department issued an advisory that a possibly dangerous tractor–
trailer had deviated from its original course and was headed towards Times Square after being paid

month.
Police attended the scene of a fight that was going to take place in Edson among youth from two
schools. Police seized an imitation firearm and fake brass knuckles. Charges of possession of a
weapon dangerous to the public, and uttering threats were laid.

children. Most of what is known about domestic violence from a scientific perspective are through a
civilian lens. A growing body of research on partner abuse in the military is emerging with most
studies conducted on the Army. The article reports on the results of an in–depth study of the
epidemiology of partner abuse in all branches of the military. Rates of violence are higher in
military populations than is civilian populations. Data further suggests that more severe forms of
abuse occur in military families. Evidence–based prevention and intervention approaches were
recommended with a focus on real and perceived barriers to treatment.

prolonged feelings and/ or events, which push that person to extremes they desperately want out of.
Suicide rates are amongst the highest in teens, due to their lack of support systems. During these
years many are trying to find–out who they are and fit in, thus many get accepted into some people's
views, but there are also a good number that get ignored and feel like they do not belong anywhere.
Teen suicide can be a result of a home–life of abuse or mistreatment, psychological disorders, and
lack of social support–bullying; however, through the education on the warning signs of suicide,
providing more emotional outlets at schools, and creating safer environments the number of annual
victims can be decreased. Living in a house full of mistreatment and abuse can eat away at a
teenager more than many would like to admit. Abuse (physical, sexual, psychological) has no
benefits, instead it causes individuals to see themselves as not enough and that they are not wanted
anywhere. Teenagers are already vulnerable to the pressures of high school, and trying to find
