B. Performance Standards The learner performs selected vocal and instrumental music of Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan and the Visayas in appropriate style.

2. explains the distinguishing characteristics of
representative music from Cordillera, Mindoro,

3. describes the musical characteristics of
representative selections of Cordillera, Mindoro,
Palawan and of the Visayas after listening;
4. discovers ways of producing sounds on a
variety of sources similar to instruments being

Performance Standards The learner performs selected vocal and instrumental music of Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan and the Visayas in appropriate style. C. Learning Competencies/ Objectives 1. describes the musical characteristics of representative selections of Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan and of the Visayas after listening; (MU7LV-IIa-f-1) 2. explains the distinguishing characteristics of representative music from Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan and of the Visayas in relation to its culture and geography; and (MU7LV-IIb-f-3) 3. describes the musical characteristics of representative selections of Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan and of the Visayas after listening; 4. discovers ways of producing sounds on a variety of sources similar to instruments being studied; (MU7LV-IIb-g-4) 1. explains the distinguishing characteristics of representative music from Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan and of the Visayas in relation to its culture and geography; (MU7LV-IIb-f-3) 2. analyzes the musical elements of some vocal and instrumental selections from Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan and of the Visayas after listening; (MU7LV-IIa-f-2) 3. performs music from Cordillera, Mindoro, Palawan and of the Visayas with accompaniment (MU7LV-IIc-h-9) 4. evaluates music and music performances applying knowledge of musical elements and styles. Establishing a purpose for the lesson Activity #1: Let’s Arrange It! Directions: Rearrange the jumbled letters to form words that will complete the sentences. Activity #2: Paminawa Ko! Presenting examples/ instances of the new lesson Activity #2: Come and Listen Listen to the song “Paraisong Tunay”, then try to answer the following questions based on the song that you have just listened to. 1. What is your first impression about the province based on the song you’ve just heard? 2. What is the song all about? 3. What are the different characteristics of the province that were presented in the song? 4. Are there musical elements presented in the song? What are those elements? Activity #3: Guess the Word There are five entries in this puzzle. Try to guess the words through the clues given. D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skill #1 Discuss the topic Vocal and Instrumental Music of Palawan Discuss the Vocal Music of Visayas Summative Test Proper E. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skill #2 F. Developing Mastery Activity #3: Describe A Song Directions: Write the title of the music you chose in the box. Listen carefully to the samples again and identify five musical elements. Activity #6: 4 Pics 1 Song Directions: Each of the four pictures below represents an idea.
