Brief:
To create a music video
Aim:
To create an effective music video that would be appealing to watch for the target
audience of my genre of music.
Description of your intentions:
I aim to make a music video clearly highlighting the genre of pop. It will be a fun video
filmed in many locations with Beth in very girly clothing. The location would highlight the
genre of pop as well as allowing Beth to perform to the audience through singing and
dancing. The location I have chosen are very bright giving the summery look which I am
going for. At the start of the video she will be seen mostly inside at home highlighting her
lack of confidence whereas at the end of the video she will be mostly outside singing and
dancing showing how she has changed and become a more confident person. I will use a
range of shots and many close up shots so that the audience can relate to the artist.
Target Audience:
My target audience for my music video will be teenagers mainly girls around the ages of
14-21. This is the most popular ages to listen to pop music and when completely research
on my chosen artist Ellie Goulding I found that this was the most appropriate age category
for the genre of music. My audience would also be fans of Ellie Goulding and would listen
to her music.

Ellie Gouldings song all tend to give a story through the lyrics of the song therefore using
this song would mean that the audience can relate to the song. However other artists
include Pixie Lott, Jessie J, and Rihanna.
