Harrison Rubber Plantations Ltd, has 
100 crores of land in which 600 
workers are employed for tapping the 
rubber and 6 supervisors to supervise 
their activities. The workers are being 
paid Rs1 per tree for tapping and each 
supervisor paid a salary of Rs7500 per 
month. 
 What is the criteria for wages for a worker as 
well as for a supervisor? 
 If a worker is absent for 2 days, will be get wages 
for these days.
a) Time rate wage system: Under this system 
wages are paid on the basis of time spent 
by the workers in the factory or on the job 
assigned him. 
b) Piece rate system: Under this system, the 
worker are paid wages on the basis of 
output or unit produced.
