What is Pleurisy? Pleurisy is inflammation  of  the moist layer of the lungs (grolier)
How does one get it? Pleurisy is caused by: Diseases- aids, cancer, and kidney and heart failure(all) Infections- pneumonia and tuberculosis (all) Chest injuries (webmd) Drug reactions (webmd)
What are the symptoms? “The major symptom of dry pleurisy is a sharp, stabbing pain towards the side and lower part of the chest. The pain may also be felt along the shoulders, neck and abdomen. Any movement involving the chest, such as breathing or coughing, will aggravate the pain, which may be accompanied by shortness of breath, a dry cough, and fever.” (health)
Treatments? Drugs- Antibiotics and Anti-inflammatory medications (health) Pain killers may help the person relax, but don’t cure (gale)
