2. What is Drinking Water ???
• Potable water is water which
is fit for consumption by
humans and other animals.
• It is also called drinking
water, in a reference to its
use.
• Water may be naturally
potable, as is the case with
pristine springs,
• Or it may need to be treated
in order to be safe.
3. Need of Drinking Water
• Without water, your body
would stop working properly
• Water aids in digestion,
absorption of food, regulates
body temperature and blood
circulation, carries nutrients
and oxygen to cells, and
removes toxins and other
wastes

• One of the major results of
inaction is dehydration
• Symptoms of dehydration
include
– Dry mouth
– Sleepiness or tiredness
– Thirst
– Decreased urination

person should be drinking at
