organs responsible for producing offspring.
3. TWO MAIN FUNCTIONS:

2. Nourish the growing baby inside the womb until birth.
It is composed of parts and each parts plays important
functions and role.
4. – primary reproductive organs of females.
- release egg cell or ova during the process of
ovulation.
- also produce and secrete estrogen (hormone
responsible for the development of secondary sex characteristics among
girls such as development of breasts and broadening of hips)
– passageway of egg cells as they travel
from the ovary to the uterus.
5. – also known as womb, where the baby develops.
– narrow muscular end of the uterus.

testosterone (hormone responsible for the development of secondary sex
characteristics such as growth of facial hair and formation of pimples)
- sperm cells mix with whitish fluid that is produced
by the prostate gland (serves nourishment for the sperm cells)
- mixture of sperm and fluid are released in the
penis as semen.
9. – tube-like structure that serves as a passageway for
the semen when released during sexual intercourse.
– external male organ that releases semen and urine through a
common passageway called urethra.

through a medical procedure called circumcision. It is done to prevent
the accumulation of large amounts of bacteria from the urine that can
cause infection)

11. it is a process that transpires when the sperm cell unites with
the egg cell.
It happens when sperm in semen has deposited in the vagina
during the period, and travels to the female’s uterus until they
reach the fallopian tubes when the egg cell awaits. Out of
millions of sperm cells, only one sperm can fertilize an egg.
12. It begins when the head of the sperm binds with the coating
of the egg cell.
As it happens, the egg cell produce protective covering that
prevents other sperm cells from getting through the egg cell.
Female’s body releases progesterone which prepares the
uterus to receive a fertilized egg.
Uterus prepares itself by thickening the lining. This lining is
rich in blood and nutrients needed by the fertilized egg.
13. After one week of fertilization, the fertilized egg embeds itself
in the thickened wall of the uterus in a process called
implantation.
The embedded fertilized egg in the uterus starts to grow into
a fetus or a developing human, and pregnancy is established.
