In July 1941, Japan had become a
power nation of military and had
developed a strategic position to
compete with other countries. One of
them is the United States. It was
decided in August 1941 America
announced by stopped the export of any
technical information about the
production of aviation fuel which
caused Japan’s economic disruption.
This caused Japan bomb Pacific fleet at
Pearl Harbor in 7 December 1941.

- children were suffering from rickets.
- Women were granted the right to vote in 1944.
- France suffered staggering manpower losses and much property damage

Causes of WWI The Russian Empire
The Russian Empire, whose the largest military force in the world, joined WW1 because of
its camaraderie with Serbia. As Germany and Austria-Hungary presented Serbia a rigid
ultimatum, the empire then began its initial steps towards military mobilization against Austria
and formally ordered mobilization after Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia.

- The number of soldiers killed, taken as prisoners of war or missing approached 5 million.
- There was a lack of food.
- Women became the primary caretaker of the family.
Economy was collapsed by following:
- Rising prices
- Peasants stopped selling food and began hoarding their stocks.
- Fuel shortages
- Hundreds of factories closed and thousands were put out of work.
