INTRODUCTION
In this competitive
world, we find a lack of
values among the
people, but we are rich
in materialistic sense.
Industrialization,
urbanization and
privatization has raised
our standard of living
but we lacking from
our values.
Children due to lack of
values and exposure of
social media has
become juvenile
delinquents.
Teachers can play an important role in
inculcating the knowledge of values among
the classroom and can also aid in developing
desirable characteristics among the students.
The incorporation of values in school
subject curriculum help teachers to
eliminate behavioral problems among the
students.
Teaching is the need of hour, if teachers are
to form upright persons who are actively
involved in social change then, the present
era must change into a peaceful society.

Aesthetic values are a judgment of value
based on the appearance of an object
and the emotional responses it evokes.
Vocational values are those values
which open up new area of inquiry.
Science is an
intellectual process as
it promotes reasoning
capacity.
The understanding of
scientific concepts help
us to analyze situations
and play an important
role in making
decisions wisely.
It enhances skills such
as organization,
planning and execution
The usefulness of
biological sciences
is evident in our
daily life.
All our activities
are controlled and
designed by
biological
sciences.
Without biological
sciences, our
existence would
become
impossible.
The food we eat, the shelter, transport,
medicines, learning, communication are
possible only through science.
Biology has a great medicinal
importance and has worked miracles in
field of medicine and surgery.
Biological sciences has reduced the
miseries of humanity by curing diseases,
ensuring prolonged life and enabling
people to live happier and healthier life.
Biological sciences
prepare individuals
for various
professions.
After specialization
of this subject,
students can enter
into various
vocations.

Nature is storehouse of beautiful
things, biological science has its own
beauty since it is related to nature.
Knowledge of science develops a passion of truth
among an individual and is unfolding of mysteries of
nature.
Teaching of biological science is essential for developing
aesthetic values, we become aware of harmony of nature only
when we possess basic scientific understandings.
Truth,
goodness
and beauty
are themes
of science.

BIOLOGICAL
SCIENCE
VALUES
Our choices,
preferences, actions,
manners habits
tastes, dressing
pattern, food habits
collectively develop a
culture, which is
influenced through
scientific innovations.
Our scientific
inventions should
lead our generation
towards
modernization for
the survival of life
but not towards
destruction of our
moral values.
AS educationists, it is our
responsibility to
participate in making
educational policies and
planning the content of
curriculum on the basis of
our religious, moral and
cultural values .
• Inculcating cultural values
through curriculum is a best
approach.
As a teacher, it is our
responsibility to adopt
such teaching
methodologies which
should be helpful for
incorporating values
among children.
• Organize such co-curricular
activities such as cultural
festivals in order to build strong
cultural belief in a child.
A biology teacher
should give his
students time to work
on project relevant to
their diverse cultures
as teams.
A biology teacher
should know the
power of the oral
traditions.
A biology teacher
should take step with
management in order
to Invite speakers from
different cultures.
Use of technological
devices is also a
useful way to inculcate
social values among
the students.
ROLE OF A
BIOLOGY
TEACHER IN
INCULCATING
CULTURAL
VALUES
AMONG THE
STUDENTS
Knowledge of biological
sciences develops moral
values such as truthfulness,
discipline, critical thinking
,and reasoning skills,
patience, responsibility and
compassion.
Biological sciences leads to
morally integrated
individuals and we can act
as a civilized society.
ROLE OF A
BIOLOGY
TEACHER IN
INCULCATING
MORAL
VALUES
AMONG THE
STUDENTS
Convince students at a personal
level that you want them to learn
positive attitudes not because this
your job but because you love them
and care about them.
To get his students ambitiously
working hard by offering them
rewards which will induce hard
working, truthfulness and inspiration
among them.
To set a good example by being
punctual to class and having all of his
lessons prepared. There should be
both rewards and punishments for
ensuring the responsibility of
students.
A biology teacher can
set an example of
cooperation for his
students by working
closely with another
teacher in team
teaching.
A biology teacher can
play a big part in
developing a student's
self-esteem. The
teacher can do this by
showing concern and
love for the students,
and by giving them
proper attention.
A biology teacher can
set an example of
kindness for his
students by being kind
and helpful to them.
Biological sciences
help us to be creative
with various activities
by spending our
leisure time effectively.
Creative activities
motivates individuals
to create good values
and attitudes towards
leisure.
Gardening, hoticulture.
Aquarium, vivarium,
green house, animal
house, these all are
hobbies provided by
biological sciences.
Organize planting activities
once in a month in classroom.
Looking after a plant, from
sowing until bloom and seeing
their hard work pay off can
substantially boost a child’s
sense of competence.
Aquariums are also an excellent
hands-on teaching tool in the
classroom. A classroom aquarium
can be used to teach students
about specific topics such as fish
anatomy or more complex topics
such as the food chain, the water
cycle, or the nitrogen cycle.
ROLE OF A
BIOLOGY TEACHER
IN INCULCATING
RECREATIONAL
VALUES
Biological sciences sharpen
the intellect and develop
reasoning skills among the
people.
Teaching of biological
sciences is essential for
developing positive attitudes
like curiosity observation,
logical reasoning, kindness ,
persistence and respect for
other’s point of views.
Biological sciences promote
learning by doing and help
individuals in solving
problems.
ROLE OF A
BIOLOGY
TEACHER IN
INCULCATING
PSYCHOLOGICAL
VALUES
In order to arouse curiosity among the
students, A good wise biology teacher
should run a student-centered
classroom and teach inductively. A
Socratic method should be used to
lead students to ask questions to get
their answers.
In order to develop kindness and
persistence among students, A
biology teacher should try his best
to control his own negative
emotions. Encourage activities
that require sharing and
cooperation
Show them mistakes are accepted
and respected.
Comparison and contrast
technique is the best
approach to improve
reasoning skills of
students.
Asking questions and
giving proper time to
students in order to
challenge their critical
thinking also improves
reasoning skills of
students.
Encouraging students
to make connections to a
real-life situation and
identify patterns is a great
way to practice their
critical thinking skills.
Elevating students’
mental workflow beyond
just memorization
sharpens the intellect of
students.
Transactional
potentiality
Biological
science is
potentially
meaningful.
The
processes of
biological
science are
concrete and
facts are
experiences
by people.
CONCLUSION
Teachers play an
important role in
nation building by
character building of
the students by
inculcating values
using teaching
methodologies as a
tool.
