1-A written notice should be sent to Shift Manager/ERT/EHS/Service Department 24 hours in
advance
2-The Radiographer supervisor responsible for this activity has to check the PPEs of his staff to
ensure that all required items are available and properly used.
3-Authorized work permit for RT holders shall ensure obtaining and maintaining valid work
permits.
4-SBM to ensure that no person other than Radiographers is at site.Moreover,04 Nos SBM to
required around the barrication of Boiler
5-Suspend any ongoing work at radiography site or barricade area
6-Check the Isotope Storage Box for no radiation leak.
7- Check the safe radiation level and barricade the area; installing radiation warning lights &
alert sign
8-Cnergyico will provide the walki-talki to Radiographer ,if any emergency occur in the area to
stop the RT activity and source to shift the designated Box
9-Warning lights before starting the activity
10-All members of the radiographic teams to be in possession of personnel dosimeters and a
calibrated radiation survey meters at all times
11-Source should be attended at all times. Area to be cleared of all personnel before and during
exposure of the source and barricaded (Restricted area).
12-Warning signs to be located.

1-An exposed source must be returned to its safe container immediately on the request of
operating personnel, or in the event of a fire, or other emergency,or falling
2-For radiography, the source shall be monitored both during exposure and retraction to ensure
accurate location into collimator and safe
