Existing structures (e.g. varandins, etc.) and/or other parts to be removed should be
removed only after secure access is ensured for workers involved in the operation.
No worker may be at risk of fall in height during the handling of loads;
All work at height (in places above 1.80 meters) require mandatory use of francalete
on the protective helmet;
In the absence of collective protections above 1.80 metres in height, the use of
safety harness properly tied to lifelines or sufficiently solid/resistant
locations is mandatory.
Theuseof sailor ladders requires theuseof a harness with adouble mooring harness,
so that the worker is never free of protection against fall at height;
The permanence or movement of persons under suspended loads and in the
area of action of the equipment shall be prohibited;
Overlappingwork may only be allowed, provided that therisk of falling objects from
work at thehigher level is physically impossible. To this end, theperson responsible
must assess in advance of the initiation of theoperations all available physicalmeans
(e.g. protectiveblankets, sheds, etc.). In theimpossibility of performing work under
safety conditions at different levels, overlapping work cannot be carried out.
