3. Better teamwork
 People who are emotionally intelligent are better in communicating with the
others, so they are better in working as a team.
 They accept the ideas of others and are open to them unlike a person with less
emotional intelligence. They do not try to take the complete control.
 These emotionally intelligent workers respect the values of their co-workers and
accept them openly.

4. Better workplace environment
Employees that are socially intelligent contribute to a higher level of team morale.
When the workplace is full of people who love and have a good relationship with
one another, the business culture is far better.

5. Greater self-awareness
 Emotionally intelligent people are more aware of their strengths and negativities.
They use these strengths and weaknesses for their betterment.
 Managers are used to working with employees who become aggressive in the face
of direct criticism, which can lead to resentment and obstruct efficiency. Employees
have a hard time knowing their limits at times.
 A person who is self-aware knows what he can do in the stipulated time and does
not over promise anything.

 Not everyone knows how to react in tough situations, but an emotionally
intelligent person knows how to tackle such situations. Many a times, the situations
at workplace are not ideal or satisfactory.
 Sometimes one must deal with an unhappy employee or a strict boss, an
emotionally intelligent person does not feel tensed in these situations, rather stay
positive and cope with them.
 People with high emotional intelligence understand that behaving irrationally or
emotionally would only exacerbate the problem.
 They can exercise composure and displaying their emotions in a balanced manner
only when necessary.

Having empathy for others lead to development of stronger relationships. Empathy
enables people to feel others and the reasons they react in different manners.
It allows us to anticipate how our behaviors can influence others and ourselves.
Having empathy increases our experiences, helps us understand ourselves better
and improves our relationships.

Having good social skills enhances the ability to behave in a better, positive way in
situations.
All the components of emotional intelligence make our social skills strong and
better. It increases the ability to communicate in clear and courteous ways.

9. Emotional regulation
Emotional regulation helps us to not react impulsively in certain tough situations.
Self-confidence is built by learning to understand bad thoughts and giving
ourselves the time and space to figure out ways to minimize or reduce them.
It allows us to consider various solutions of a problem in order to understand the
problem in a better way. It is important not to react only emotionally but
thoughtfully.
