5. International projects
A global outlook:
Competence in the field of energy consulting
and renewable projects.
• 4 MW photovoltaic park in Spain
• 4,5 MW photovoltaic park in Italy
• 4,9 MW photovoltaic park in Bulgaria
• 24 MW of wind in Denmark
• 15 MW of wind in Germany
Above generating 105 GWh annually
6. Case story – WHR boiler in Bulgaria
• Kaolin AD, Bulgaria worked
together with EnergiMidt on a
sustainable solution for
replacement of their existing
WHR boiler that utilises the
waste heat for steam
production.
• The steam is used for various
processes in the production.
• Gas reduction 1 to 1.5 mill.
Nm3 p.a. depending on annual
operating hours equal to 30%.
• Payback time was crucial, and
the investment has break
even within 2 years.
9. Case story – Gas engine in Bulgaria
• An existing natural gas fired heat generator
was used in a drying process.
• The hot exhaust gasses from a gas engine
eliminated the need for natural gas.
• The combined produced electricity
was supplied to the grid at an
attractive feed-in tariff.
• Simple pay-back time was 1,4 years
12. Case story – EnergiMidt new office building
• No external heating supply. A heat pump
supplies server cooling and heats the
building at the same time.
• Only passive cooling during summer time –
no AC
• Cooling by means of:
– Integrated PV panels – function as “sun
glasses”
– High insulation
– Natural ventilation
– Night cooling
15. The sun and the potential
”I'd put my money on the sun
and solar energy.
What a source of power!
I hope we don't have to wait 'til
oil and coal run out before we
tackle that.”
“The photovoltaic effect was
discovered in 1839”
Thomas Edison (1847–1931)
16. The sun and the potential
Source: IEA
One hour of sunshine can cover the yearly energy consumption of the world
24. Larger RE projects
• 4 MW photovoltaic park in Spain
• 4,5 MW photovoltaic park in Italy
• 4,9 MW photovoltaic park in Bulgaria
• 15 MW of wind in Germany
28. Roof top systems
Roof package model is based on 120 kWp PV systems built in units of 24 kWp.
Covers and area of approximately 750m2.
This is a flexible system with high performance and security and easy to maintain.
The system consist of the following equipment:
• 460 X PV modules polycrystalline each 260 Wp
• 5 X Fronius 20 kW
• Roof structure mounting system
• Electrical wiring
• Balance of system components
• Installation and fully commission
32. Consumption profile
The consumption profile will determine the maximum
size of the PV plant, so no exceed energy will be
delivered to the utility network
37. Financial – overview
• The total cost for the system is app. 175,000 EUR
• Annual electricity production: 203,769 kWh
• Current tariff in Uganda: 0.1085 EUR/kWh
(Large scale consumer eletricity price)
• Annual Savings in electricity: 22,109 EUR
• Simple pay back time: 8 years
• Lifetime of plant 25-30 years
