The SEAI Public Sector Programme supports the Irish public sector achieve a national energy efficiency target of 33% by 2020. A 2030 target is being developed. There are 350 public bodies, from small offices, 3rd level, hospitals, charities, local authorities, transport, up to large semi state companies. It also includes 3800 schools. SEAI offers a number of supports, from energy management, to training, networking, innovative capital grants for project development and implementation, and more recently deeper coordination supports at technology and sectoral levels to develop a national project pipeline. Public bodies must report to SEAI annually on their energy performance. They do this on an online system called Monitoring and Reporting (M&R). Over 95% of public bodies reported last year and 62% of schools. This data forms the basis of targets on government departments and their aegis public bodies. The data is being used to develop the project pipeline, identify the gap to target in organisations and planning the projects to close the gap. Collectively the programme supports the implementation of the National Public Sector Energy Efficiency Strategy.

Dalkia encompassing a significant investment by Dalkia in both demand side
and supply side energy projects and the ongoing operation and
maintenance of those energy assets.
Dalkia are currently involved in the implementation of those projects in
various locations around our campus and to date we have been impressed
with the care and attention paid to the welfare of our clients and staff.
Two examples in particular stand out, namely the construction of the New
Energy Centre and secondly the installation of the zoned heating control
systems in one our campus buildings. The former involves a significant

Energy Efficiency
Installation of zoned heating controls within 27 separate
buildings onsite
A total of 467 individually controlled heating zones have
been created, providing both added comfort to clients and
reduced energy demand for the site
Each zone has been scheduled for 7 day / 24 hour on/off
control and associated room temperature setpoints
Controls to reduce fossil fuel consumption by minimum of
11%
Bonded bead cavity wall insulation and fibre glass attic
insulation installed in 22 buildings
