4. Overview of the Smart Lesson
• Game that allows you to drag business accounts to the proper debit or credit
balance
• Allows you to say whether accounts increase or decrease the balances
• Teaches students the normal balance of important accounts
• Given points if you correctly answered the question

5. How I Can Teach Students with the Smart
Lesson
• Interactivity allows them to put class concepts to use
• When they put account in the incorrect balance they will probably remember
what they messed up on
• Will teach them knowledge needed for lower level accounting courses in
college
• Will explain to students the importance of understanding debits and credits

6. Universal Design Elements of Smart Lesson
• Causes all students to interact and gives incentives to interact with a point
system for being correct
• Teacher can drag the elements so as long as you can speak you can be
involved in the game
• Easy to use design that encourages all students to input their ideas
• If you give an incorrect answer points are not taken away, causing all student
ideas to be acceptable
