Working Title: HHM (Hip-Hop Media)
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Audience:
My target audience is the young adults such as ages between 17-21 years. I have picked this age
range because I think I have good knowledge of how their minds work seems I’m one of them.
What I will add is most popular music knowledge with the most popular artist on the charts etc.
I’m aiming to appeal to both genders not just female or just male I want everybody to be able to
read and enjoy my product. By doing this I will involve a variety of knowledge on artists of both
genders not just men. When it comes to social status I was aiming to again aim at all people
because of how huge the hip-hop and rap community is. I want everyone to well informed with the
information I will be handing out. So by achieving this I can bring out free copies with less content
but then also make the full copy to be affordable for everyone. For psychographic, the main type of
people I want to appeal to I would say are the achievers, abc1. I say the achievers because there
are a lot of people out there in the community with way better talent then some of the artist out
today, so by them reading my magazine maybe I can inspire them to do better and become
successful.
I feel that my project will appeal to this person or people because I’m going to have good, relative
content with the community that informs them about multiple things going on. Advertisement, I feel
is gong to play a big part in attracting some people. I say this because I can involve information
helping them individually, even if its new music or contacts to go get bigger in the business. My
product will appeal to my age group because I’m going to add content that people that age enjoy
and like to know about. Such as I will add in information that they want know such as information
about festivals and new music. The content is going to be relevant and mature so it doesn’t seem
to young for them to read. This also mixes into why would it appeal to both genders. Another
reason it will appeal is that the colours and design wont be too manly or too girly it will be just right
so it can attract all genders.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
When reviewing my progress throughout the year so far, I would say that I’ve improved massively
with my knowledge and skills when completing my work. I no longer have to ask as many question
and I feel when getting a new task I have enough knowledge to get a good start. I feel that the
most skills I have learnt are stuff to do with Photoshop. Learning these new skills has made my
work personally better and will keep on improving. From the learning a lot about magazine covers
from my second rotation, I think I can use a lot of knowledge and information from that month get
help me progress my work in a more professional way.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
I want to produce is a music magazine front cover. The main content on the magazine will be
about a rap group called the overachievers. I will involve a double page spread, website and other
styles of advertisement to show off my skills. I will involve a interview about their personal lives and
about their careers so far as artists. Then add in other information about the community. All the
other parts of my production such as my website, I was going to keep the same style to what my
front cover looks like simply because it makes it seem more professional and look better. The
content I was going to add to my website was partly advertising and then relevant information such
as what’s new in the hip hop world, big news and top new songs. What I will have to research for
my product is big top branded and relevant music magazines relating to my idea. Magazines such
as Rolling stones and XXL. Both from knowledge have a similar style to what I would like to create.
I was thinking of doing research on some merchandise because I think that would be a key part of
the advertisement on the rap group, I could get some information about them and see what makes
a good piece of merchandise.

I plan to review my work every week. I will do this by looking and reviewing over my work every
week to see if my work is up to standard and if I’m staying on track. By dong this I can hopefully
get the best grade and improve my work massively.
