• Slogan/ Strapline (tagline US): Memorable dramatic phrase which sums up the magazine.
• Puff (flashes/ slashes): A piece of information that is made to stand out normally surrounded by a shape.
• Cover lines: Content inside the magazine in brief lines.
• Anchorage text: Words that correlate to the main image and, or explain it.
• Main image: Image which covers most of the magazine to attract the reader.
• Skyline: Any text above the masthead
• Barcode: On every purchasable item to detect the price and prevents from being stolen.
• Price: Amount of money that it costs.
• Buzz word: Words that are made to stand out and have to do with the magazine.
• Pug: Elements used to promote exciting news
• Pull quote: Sentence or word normally extracted from a reliable source.
• House style: Colour patterns and fonts that fit the magazine accordingly.
