Directions: Please use this document to plan out your solution proposal with your
group. This document is ordered by strategic steps and roles that everyone must follow.
Also note the time stamps so that you are pacing yourselves.
Background: ALL MEMBERS (15 minutes)
● Provide brief context/overview of a ONE specific act of genocide or hate that we’ve
discussed in class (case studies)
● Identify the problem
○ Evidence to support why it’s a problem
○ Discuss why it’s important to advocate for/solve
Research: ALL MEMBERS (30 minutes)
● Divide the research articles below among yourselves. EVERYONE must do
research. Skim through the articles for evidence in the second column and then
provide quick and short notes about the article in the third column.
● Please put your name next to the article you researched. More than
one person can research the same article.

● Choose one of the other solutions (reform/abolition, education/bias training OR
reparations) and provide context. Develop a statement that details why the other
solution you’ve chosen will not work. Identify its flaws.
