These require grounds that are sufficient and appropriate, recent
and accurate data, and clearly defined terminologies.

- The oldest known disease in the world is leprosy.
-Death penalty does not deter crimes.
6. Claim of VALUE
-are judgement based on moral standards and norms.
-based on preference.
8. Claim of POLICY
-are specific and measurable actions that need to be done in order to
address issues or concerns presented in the argument or proposition.
- requires proposal of clear and measurable actions or steps,
justification, advantage of proposed action, and possible counter
arguments.

- The congress should pass the bill.
-Death penalty should be imposed in the
Philippines.
10. Claim of CAUSE AND EFFECT
-argue that persons, things, and circumstances could produce a
result.
-established facts and appropriate evidences support the cause and
effect relationship.

- a man offends his neighbor by insulting him. His
neighbor becomes angry and he in turn tells his
friends.
