1. Ideas for Taglines:
As we were using children as the main antagonists throughout our promotional package we wanted to carry on this
child imagery that is what we were trying to achieve when coming up with a tagline.

As a group we found that we all really liked the idea of the 4th tagline ‘Ribbon Ribbon Brightest Blue… The Chosen One Is
Coming For You. After discussing it more we felt that the last half of the tagline was a bit repetitive as we had basically
just put the name of the film in the tagline, it was almost as if we had run out of ideas and thrown anything together.
But we did really like the first half of this tagline as it was quite catchy and in the form of a rhyme which reminded us of
children’s nursery rhymes which would again link to the fact our main character Elle is a child herself. Horror films often
take innocent objects and turn them into something sinister this is very conventional. In the same way it is also
conventional for nursery rhymes to be featured in Horror films as contrapuntal sound. Because the blue ribbon Elle
always wears in her hair is quite a significant object throughout our narrative we didn’t want to just scrap this idea
completely, so again we came up with a few more alterations for a different tagline:

To help us make a final decision we carried out a survey presenting a few of our possible taglines. We still felt quite
strongly about using the ribbon ribbon brightest blue idea but decided to include a few other ideas and here are the
results of our survey:

Although we had decided that, ‘Ribbon ribbon brightest blue…’ was the best idea we added some other taglines just to
see how the audience reacted to them and this proved ineffective as very few people voted for them, After we received
the results back, we found that ‘Ribbon Ribbon Brightest Blue... Is It Too Late for Your Family Too...’ so we decided that
this would be our tagline.
