2. Front view
Within our group we have chosen this particular
setting to feature as our main location which will
appear predominantly in our horror trailer. We
decided this due to the following reasons;
As shown from the pictures the road is deserted
and isolated which gives the trailer the horror
element as in many horrors they feature isolated
locations just like this one in order to allow the
audience to relate to the narrative as they may
live or know a location like this, emphasising the
realism within possession films.
In this particular street, there are only ten houses
again portraying the theme of isolation, but will
also allow the audience to feel a sense of security
as its an enclosed road purely for people who live
within the street. Due to the closeness of the
houses it is evident that there is a high level of
security in this location however this contrasts
completely with the narrative.
3. Front view
The house within the image is
located at the back end of the
street emphasising the fact that
if anything out of the norm was
to occur within this family
household it wouldn’t be noticed
as quickly as any other house
due to the fact that its one of the
last houses in the street. The
outside of the house looks like a
traditional, pleasant family home
which correlates with the
narrative of our horror trailer on
the grounds that the equilibrium
is in place at the beginning but is
then later disturbed.
4. Inside
Within our horror trailer these pictures of the kitchen and the living area will
appear as part of the family home. The kitchen will be one of the main
background settings when filming as the kitchen is a key setting in which as a
group we decided a family orientated area, as majority of the families activities
take place within the kitchen area.
The living area may also feature in the trailer depending on what is happening
in the scene.
5. Inside
The image on the left will be used as an office but also somewhere where the children
may play. The use of bright colours within the room give the sense of positivity and
security but also gives the house a homely feel, this however displays a clear contrast
to the narrative of our trailer/film.
6. Inside
The images above are going to be used
as the children’s bedroom, which will be
used briefly during the trailer but as shown
from the images above, again the
colouring of the room is bright and positive
with quite girly features within displaying a
contrast as the adopted child who joins the
family is evil and demonic, all things which
would not be associated with girly
characteristics.
8. Outside
The images above provide the audience with the knowledge of the location and the
fact that the property and the placement of the house is isolated exemplified through
the use of overgrown greenery but also the house backs onto a woods giving the idea
that the house does not seem so secure anymore. Within the images there are objects
such as swings and trampolines which indicates that this house is a family orientated
home. These images show the insight of how close the wood is to the black of the
which creates a sign of escapism but could also be a clear demonstration of danger in
which is to come.
9. T
The car
The images seen below are the car in which we will be using within our trailer. The car will
be used as the family car in which John and Rebecca own. This will feature when we collect
Elle from the adoption centre as well as take Elle back to the family home. We will use
both the outside and the inside of the car within our trailer.
10. The adoption office
This room within these pictures will be
featured in our trailer for the purposes
of the adoption centre, this will be
were Rebecca and John will sign the
papers for Elle, and then from here will
go to the car to drive home.
We have chose this location because it
looks like an office with all the books
around and the use of papers laid on
the table, as well as the layout of the
table and doors within the room.
Alongside this, the colours within the
room suit the idea that its meant to be
an adoption centre, due to the colour
within the room such as the green and
purple within the room which makes it
more childish and more like an
adoption centre.
