Effects of discretization, solution scheme and Reynolds number, among others were analyzed.
Verification using manufactured solution and validation with literature and Fluent results was done.
Effect of rear slant angle on flow characteristics around a bluff body Aug – Nov 2014
Analyzed the critical points in the rear wake region of the bluff body for effect on pressure drag.
Validated the results obtained from Fluent against experimental results in available literature.
Plastic stress prediction using JC and ZA constitutive models Aug – Nov 2013
Predicted stress in plastic region for various grades of steel using constitutive models.
Experimentally validated parameters were used in LS-DYNA to study deep drawing processes.
Fabrication of single seater hovercraft with payload capacity of 175lbs Sep – Dec 2012
Designed, analyzed and fabricated a hovercraft, as a part of SAE team project.
