Work Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation (Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory): 2012 – Current
Experience Full Time Associate Engineer
In a highly technical, diverse, and dynamic team environment, design knowledge is
applied to complete nuclear core structural analyses. These analyses support new design
for the next generation of US NAVY submarines.
Engineering S1B Fuel and Poison Loading Recommendation – December 2014
Experience The Fuel and Poison Loading Recommendation is a major design milestone in the S1B,
next generation nuclear submarine design. This document sets the fuel and poison
loading of the S1B nuclear core. As a cognizant mechanical engineer, performed brittle
fracture analysis of critical welds and issued major core component design drawings.
S1B Core Reference Design – June 2013
The Reference Design is a major design milestone in the S1B, next generation nuclear
submarine design. As a cognizant mechanical engineer, performed Fatigue Performance
analysis and Brittle Fracture analysis of critical welds and components within the reactor.
Dresser-Rand Group Inc. Senior Design Project – Spring 2012
With a team of engineering colleagues a tool or set of tools is being designed and
manufactured to measure the exit blade angle on various sized impellers for
Dresser-Rand Group Inc.
Turbojet Analysis Project – Fall 2011
Performed a comprehensive analysis of a turbojet engine by varying the compressor
pressure ratio. This analysis was then repeated at various flight Mach numbers and
presented through a technical report.
Design Project in Pro/E Environment – Spring 2011
Designed and presented a wall mounted chair which will swing out of the way when not
in use, through working drawings, 3D modeling, and a technical report.
