"The worst of our faults is our interest in other people's faults"
8. Dear Reader,
Wish you a very warm welcome.
I would like to ask you all, what do you think is the
greatest blessing of Almighty to you? Some would say
Health! Some Wealth! Some Parents! Some Character!
Though your guesses are absolutely correct, Life is the
greatest blessing… Without life you cannot have parents,
health, wealth, character and other things.
Life is the precious gift one has ever got. But we spoil this
life doing all sorts of rubbish things like cheating, being
selfish, greedy, landing up in sorrows and grief, trying to
run behind things we don’t have forgetting all the
precious things we already have.
You always have a second chance for everything, like you
can correct yourself if you do something wrong, but once
the life comes to an end you cannot even think of getting
an extra second even though you must be the richest man
and buy anything you wish on Earth.
So enjoy life the way it is, rather than regretting later
on… Each and every second is precious, do not waste it!
Life is only 10% what happens to us and 90% how we
react to it…
Thank you and good luck for your success…

12. Solve if you are a genius!
Guess Why?
I am black of eye and bright of hair and my feet are firmly in the
ground. I love the sun upon my face and I follow it around. When I
am dead and to God I said, that I will droop real low that I will keep
the birds well fed, Standing stiff there in my row. What am I?
What is round on both ends and hi in
the middle?
I don't have eyes, but once I did see.
Once I had thoughts, but now I'm
white and empty.
How can the number four be half of
five?
What is harder to catch the faster
you run?
What flies without wings?
When was the latest year that is the
same upside down?
Did You Know???
French was the official
language of England
for over 600 years.

19. Dudhsagar Waterfalls
One of India’s most splendid waterfalls,
Dudhsagar Falls are located approximately 60
kilometres away from Panjim. This multi-tiered
waterfall gushes down milky white waters from
a height of 310 metres, making it India’s fifth-
highest waterfall.
The site, nestled in a completely natural habitat
is a pleasure to witness and one can even enjoy
some swimming or rock climbing here. An easy
way to reach Dudhsagar is to hire a jeep from
Castle Rock or the nearby village, which will
guide you through the forests to the falls.
20. India has some of the best and oldest religious
centres in the world. Christianity in India is
believed to have introduced in South-West India,
and we are proud of some of the churches that
are world famous for its stunning architecture
and other aspects. Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old
Goa is one such impressive church that has its
mark in the history of Christianity in India, and
also is a Christian monument revered across the
globe. Let us have a look at some of the
interesting facts of the church that make it stand
out among its counterparts. Basilica of Bom Jesus
in Goa is as old as 400 years (oldest church in the
world)! The foundation stone of the church was
laid on November 24th, and was completed in
1605.
This impressive church in Old Goa is one of the
UNESCO World heritage sites of India. The
church was built using Baroque architectural
style, which was the most popular style of
architecture in the sixties. This is a heavily
adorned and ornamental form of architecture,
making the church a visual treat. The floor of the
church is laid with marble and the interiors are
done with precious stones and other ornamental
works. The holy remains of his body are
displayed to the public once in every 10 years,
which is an event visited by a large number of
devotees and tourists from across the globe.

25. This ancient laterite fort on the Chapora river,
although long since abandoned from a military
standpoint, is nevertheless majestic and an
enduring historical monument. Known for its
spectacular views and sunset vistas, this is a
popular spot for tourists to visit especially in the
evenings. Although little remains of the barracks
and other buildings that once stood within the
forts embrace, it continues to attract historical
buffs, who know about the great battles that were
once fought here. To the average visitor however,
it is a collection of sturdy, irregularly shaped
walls, with just a hint of secret tunnels that can
be found by the keen observer. Chapora Fort first
got noticed in the movie Dil Chahta Hai. The
history of the fort is long and varied. It has been
held by many rulers for varying lengths of time.
The village of Chapora, and the fort, get their
name from ‘Shahapura’ or, ‘the town of the
Shah’. This was due to the fact that it was once
the stronghold of the Sultanate of Bijapur. When
the Portuguese defeated the Shah and seized the
fort, it had great military significance for them, as
the Chapora river marked the northern boundary
of Goa, with Pernem on it’s opposite bank, being
the province of the Maharaja of Sawantwadi.
This fort, although formidably built has fallen
multiple times to the Maratha might, once in
1684 and again in 1739. In 1741, during the
‘Novas Conquistas’ or New Conquests, the
Portuguese regained the fort and further
conquered the Northern territory of Pernem, thus
decreasing the military significance of the
Chapora fort.
26. A military museum, the Naval Aviation Museum
houses exhibits which portray the evolution of
the Indian Navy over the years. The museum is
divided into an indoor exhibit and an indoor
gallery divided over two floors. Inaugurated in
October 1998, the Naval Aviation Museum is the
second of its kind in India, the first one being the
Air Force Museum in Delhi. The outdoor exhibit
is a vast park where visitors can walk around
and have a look at all the aircrafts which the
Indian Navy has used over the years.
There are a total of thirteen aircrafts on display,
some of them being: Sea Harrier, Hawker Sea
Hawk, HAL-HT-2, HAL Chetak and the
Westland Sea King. In the indoor section of the
museum, visitors will find information about the
key battles in which the Indian Navy was
involved. Apart from that, on display are
