Dear Reader,
Wish you a warm welcome…
The most popular Saint Valentine, and the one
frequently attributed with fathering Valentine’s
Day, was a Roman priest during the third
century, serving under Emperor Claudius.
Emperor Claudius believed that single men made
better soldiers than those married and with
families, and passed a law making marriage
illegal for all young men. Valentine recognized
the horror of this law and continued to marry
young couples in secret, effectively defying his
Emperor. When Claudius discovered Valentine’s
acts of defiance, he had him killed immediately.
Valentine was later canonized by the Vatican and,
in the 5th century, February 14th was named
his feast day, the day designated by the church to
honor and commemorate a saint’s life.
Still, other people believe that February
14th’s designation as a day of love, comes out of
something far less bloody than a martyred
saint. In France and England, February 14th is the
beginning of the birds’ mating season, which
symbolizes love, fertility, and the promise of
spring.

Love that comes with looks… goes with looks.
True Love does not start by gazing at looks of a
person, but by knowing the beauty of their
character.

CARE FOR EACH OTHER
The most important thing to make the marital
relation a success is caring for each other. Usually
women are associated with the role of care and
taking care of the expenditure made on the family.
However, males are also responsible for taking care of
the family and one way of doing so is by spending
from their income on the well being and happiness of
the family members.
CONTROL THE ANGER
In a marital relationship, both husband and wife need
to control their anger, as when the anger is control,
the ultimate result is they both listening to each other
and try to figure things out. On the other hand, when
there is anger, it clouds the judgment and in this
clouded judgment they pass harsh remarks which
leads to haughty discussion that consequently loosens
the bond of love
COMPLIMENT
Next to care where both husband and wife perform their
roles with the element of affection in it, the other thing
that can help make the relationship healthy and full of
love is complimenting each other. One of the major
reasons why the marriages of today fail is the fact that the
partners fail to complement each other and appreciate
each other for all the good things they have.
Creating a loving and lasting partnership clearly isn't easy. Stable marriages, moreover, are not
necessarily happy: People stay in unsatisfying relationships for a variety of reasons (e.g., children,
finances, and religion). The question then is not one of mere stability, but also of quality: How do
two people create and maintain a mutually happy relationship? What are the secrets to a successful
marriage?
FIGHT AGAINST EGO
If you ask every happily married couple they’ll tell
you there’s no bigger enemy to marital happiness
than: ego. Ego is like a deceptive double agent that
distorts reality and makes us deny and justify the
wrongs that our lower selves commit towards our
spouses, convincing us that we are right; while we
are oppressing our own selves and our spouses
and actually walking a path of humiliating self-
destruction.
© The MAGEX Weekly
TRUST
Above all the most important thing that is required
to keep the relationship healthy and strong is trust.
Both husband and wife should trust each other in
every regard. This trust should be present in every
matter of life, whether it is reaching some decision,
protection of property, honor or any kind.
BLOOM EACH OTHER
Be that amazing person who motivates, encourages
and helps your spouse discover and use their God-
given potential and traits to bloom and be a source
of joy and mercy to the world. Don’t stop your
spouse from being kind and loving to their parents,
don’t stop them from being helpful towards their
colleagues and relatives, and don’t make them cut
ties that you know they should keep.
TALK LIKE BEST FRIENDS
Happy couples talk like best friends, in good times
and in conflict. In good times, they wait to tell each
other about their day, they joke, laugh, share ideas,
flirt, complement each other, respect their spouse’s
right to hold different opinions and learn from each
other’s opposing points of view.

A True Love Tale
A boy named Qais was born to an Arab
Chieftain, Shah Amri. Astrologers predicted that
Qais would be wandering in wilderness at the
age of 12 and would be known for the
romantic saga of his life. Shah Amri produced
various types of amulets, talisman and charms
and offered prayers for Qasis. But nothing
would change the predicted destiny. As Qais
grew up, he was sent to Damuseus for
education at the religious school.
The time for the prediction to come true had
come. Qais was enchanted by Laila at her first
sight and remained absorbed in her thoughts.
All his friends and parents tried to divert his
mind and asked to concentrate on studies, but
he wouldn’t listen.
The love of Qais had a magnetic effect upon
Laila, and the Laila – Qais love tale reached the
ears of the Najd chieftain. In order to protect
his honour, he confronted his daughter to the
four walls of his house.
With Laila out of his sight, Qais lost self –
control and he wandered in the woods of Najd
like an insane person. Laila too grew frail in the
absence of Qais. Her parents failed to prevail
upon her and she found it beyond her to
control herself.
Qais had become abnormally obsessed with the
love of Laila, so people began to call him
Majnoon – the obsessed man, and he is known
by this name till today.
Majnoon has become the symbol, the synonym,
and the living embodiment of profound love.
One day Majnoon passed without knowing the
palace of the Najd chieftain sighting and
crying. “Ah Laila, Oh Laila!” Laila was, at that
moment, talking to her father. She kept him
busy with something else and ran to the
window opening on the street Majnoon was
passing by. All of a sudden he looked up and
fell unconscious as he had a glimpse of his love
Laila. After a while, when he recovered his
consciousness, Laila consoled him, “My beloved
Qais, Keep heart for a while, and don’t be
impatient. I belong to you and I am inseparable
from you.”
Laila was consoling Majnoon but as she herself
fell unconscious and fell down from the
window with a loud thud. This made Majnoon
unconscious again. She was picked up by her
father and confined to the inner sanctum of his
palace. His men drove away Majnoon to
wilderness and left him there.
After some time Shah Amari visited the Najd
Chieftain and asked for the hand of his
daughter Laila for his son Majnoon. Laila’s
father told Shah Amari apologetically that his
son was mad and he would not marry his
daughter to him. Shah Amari beseeched him to
see Majnoon and personally find out if he was
really mad. “He is of course obsessed with his
love Laila, but he isn’t mad,” said the Shah.
Shah Amari then went out in search of his son.
Majnoon lay unrobbed under a tree. When the
Shah took him, he asked, “Who? Laila! My
Laila!” Shah Amari pleaded with his son that if
he is promised to behave normally in the
presence of Laila’s father, he would be married
to Laila. Majnoon agreed.
A well made – up and richly attired Majnoon
was taken to the palace of Najd chieftain who
agreed to wed his daughter to him. In the
meanwhile a dog entered the drawing room
and it was introduced by the Najd chieftain as
the pet of Laila. Majnoon immediately lifted the
dog into his arms and kissed him passionately.
Laila’s father was incensed at the scene and told
Shah Amari that his son was definitely mad,
otherwise he would never kissed the dog.
The news of the Najd chieftain going back on
his word to give his daughter in marriage to
Majnoon spread throughout the town. This
enraged another chieftain Naufeel who laid
siege of his place and arrested him. Laila’s
father pleaded with his captor, “Had you been
the father of Laila, would you have giver her to
mad boy in marriage? If yes, I will abide by
your orders”. Naufeel immediately released the
Najd chieftain. Laila was denied to her lover
who wandered in the jungles crying, “Laila! My
Laila!”
Laila was married to Bakht, son of Ameer Salim.
On the honeymoon night Bakht threw his arms
around his bride to embrace her. She slapped
Bakht on his face and said, “Majnoon alone
could be my husband, you must not touch me”.
Bakht was enraged and divorced Laila. As she
got divorce, she left for the Najd jungle in
search for her lover. She found him, and both of
them lay unconscious in passionate embrace.
Laila’s mother reached them right in time and
took unconscious Laila home on her camel’s
back. On regaining consciousness Laila became
aware of the situation. She could not bear to be
once again separated from her lover, and she
died of the shock.
The news of Laila’s death reached the ears of
Majnoon and he too died instantaneously. The
people of Najd who had earlier refused to
recognize Majnoon were shocked to hear of his
death. They went in search for his hid dead
body, discovered it and brought it to the town.
The funeral procession of the two lovers was
taken out jointly.
Laila and Majnoon had become martyrs at the
altar of customs and tradition of their society.
They could not be united in life depending on
social sanction which was denied to them but
they were united in death as it was within the
reach of their heart.
The dead bodies of Laila and Majnoon were laid
side by side in one grave and the hands which
had failed in the sacred duty of showering
flowers on the loving couple were obliged to
sprinkle dust and bury them. The lips which
had refused to bless them now opened in sigh
and sobs. But the love – saga of Laila – Majnoon
shall live forever and ever.

Eating too much of
Pineapple:
The bromelain in pineapples is primarily
a meat-tenderizing enzyme, which is why
it is so helpful in the digestion of tough
foods. This can result in the softening or
tenderness of your “meat” as well, meaning
that your lips, gums, and tongue might
experience some tenderness or sensitivity if
you eat too much pineapple. Bromelain is a
powerful chemical, as is vitamin C, if taken
in excess. Both of these are in high
proportions in pineapple, and an “overdose”
can lead to vomiting, nausea,
diarrhea, headaches, and nausea. Also,
bromelain has been known to stimulate
menstruation, so pregnant women should
avoid excessive pineapple, as the high
levels of bromelain can actually lead to a
miscarriage in rare cases.
Health benefits of Pineapple
© The MAGEX Weekly
Immune System: A single serving of
pineapple has more than 130% of the
daily requirement of Vitamin – C for
human beings which helps in reducing
illness and boosting the immune system.
Digestion: Pineapple is a rich source of
fiber, which protects from constipation,
diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome,
atherosclerosis, blood clotting and even
blood pressure.
Bone Health: Though pineapples do not
contain enough calcium, it has Manganese
which is the most prominent mineral and
can deliver about more than 70% of your
daily requirement.
Oral Health: Along with the antioxidant
compounds that protect against oral
cancer, pineapples also have astringent
properties which strengthen gums and
make sure that your teeth do not become
loose.
Eye Health: Vision is one of the most
important senses for human beings, and
pineapples have been directly connected
to boosting eye health and preventing the
age – related deficiencies that so often
occur.
Arthritis Management: A rare proteolytic
enzyme called bromelain is found
excessively in Pineapples which fight
against Arthritis disease.
Cancer: In addition to the antioxidant potential
of vitamin C in the battle against cancer,
pineapples are also rich in various other
antioxidants, including Vitamin A, beta
carotene and bromelain which prevents
cancers of the mouth, throat and breast.

From Clint Eastwood comes “The 15:17 to Paris,” which tells the real-life story of three men
whose brave act turned them into heroes during a high-speed railway ride. In the early evening
of August 21, 2015, the world watched in stunned silence as the media reported a thwarted
terrorist attack on Thalys train #9364 bound for Paris—an attempt prevented by three
courageous young Americans traveling through Europe. The film follows the course of the
friends’ lives, from the struggles of childhood through finding their footing in life, to the series
of unlikely events leading up to the attack.
. Throughout the harrowing ordeal, their friendship never wavers, making it their greatest
weapon and allowing them to save the lives of the more than 500 passengers on board. The
heroic trio is comprised of Anthony Sadler, Oregon National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos, and U.S.
Air Force Airman First Class Spencer Stone, who play themselves in the film. Eastwood (“Sully,”
“American Sniper”) directs from a screenplay by Dorothy Blyskal, based on the book by Anthony
Sadler, Alek Skarlatos, Spencer Stone and Jeffrey E. Stern.

  • 8. Dear Reader, Wish you a warm welcome… The most popular Saint Valentine, and the one frequently attributed with fathering Valentine’s Day, was a Roman priest during the third century, serving under Emperor Claudius. Emperor Claudius believed that single men made better soldiers than those married and with families, and passed a law making marriage illegal for all young men. Valentine recognized the horror of this law and continued to marry young couples in secret, effectively defying his Emperor. When Claudius discovered Valentine’s acts of defiance, he had him killed immediately. Valentine was later canonized by the Vatican and, in the 5th century, February 14th was named his feast day, the day designated by the church to honor and commemorate a saint’s life. Still, other people believe that February 14th’s designation as a day of love, comes out of something far less bloody than a martyred saint. In France and England, February 14th is the beginning of the birds’ mating season, which symbolizes love, fertility, and the promise of spring. I extend my sincere gratitude to you my readers, for giving us your extensive support to improve The MAGEX Weekly. • 10. Love that comes with looks… goes with looks. True Love does not start by gazing at looks of a person, but by knowing the beauty of their character. © The MAGEX Weekly
  • 11. Successful Valentine! © The MAGEX Weekly CARE FOR EACH OTHER The most important thing to make the marital relation a success is caring for each other. Usually women are associated with the role of care and taking care of the expenditure made on the family. However, males are also responsible for taking care of the family and one way of doing so is by spending from their income on the well being and happiness of the family members. CONTROL THE ANGER In a marital relationship, both husband and wife need to control their anger, as when the anger is control, the ultimate result is they both listening to each other and try to figure things out. On the other hand, when there is anger, it clouds the judgment and in this clouded judgment they pass harsh remarks which leads to haughty discussion that consequently loosens the bond of love COMPLIMENT Next to care where both husband and wife perform their roles with the element of affection in it, the other thing that can help make the relationship healthy and full of love is complimenting each other. One of the major reasons why the marriages of today fail is the fact that the partners fail to complement each other and appreciate each other for all the good things they have. Creating a loving and lasting partnership clearly isn't easy. Stable marriages, moreover, are not necessarily happy: People stay in unsatisfying relationships for a variety of reasons (e.g., children, finances, and religion). The question then is not one of mere stability, but also of quality: How do two people create and maintain a mutually happy relationship? What are the secrets to a successful marriage?
  • 12. FIGHT AGAINST EGO If you ask every happily married couple they’ll tell you there’s no bigger enemy to marital happiness than: ego. Ego is like a deceptive double agent that distorts reality and makes us deny and justify the wrongs that our lower selves commit towards our spouses, convincing us that we are right; while we are oppressing our own selves and our spouses and actually walking a path of humiliating self- destruction. © The MAGEX Weekly TRUST Above all the most important thing that is required to keep the relationship healthy and strong is trust. Both husband and wife should trust each other in every regard. This trust should be present in every matter of life, whether it is reaching some decision, protection of property, honor or any kind. BLOOM EACH OTHER Be that amazing person who motivates, encourages and helps your spouse discover and use their God- given potential and traits to bloom and be a source of joy and mercy to the world. Don’t stop your spouse from being kind and loving to their parents, don’t stop them from being helpful towards their colleagues and relatives, and don’t make them cut ties that you know they should keep. TALK LIKE BEST FRIENDS Happy couples talk like best friends, in good times and in conflict. In good times, they wait to tell each other about their day, they joke, laugh, share ideas, flirt, complement each other, respect their spouse’s right to hold different opinions and learn from each other’s opposing points of view.

  • 17. © The MAGEX Weekly A True Love Tale A boy named Qais was born to an Arab Chieftain, Shah Amri. Astrologers predicted that Qais would be wandering in wilderness at the age of 12 and would be known for the romantic saga of his life. Shah Amri produced various types of amulets, talisman and charms and offered prayers for Qasis. But nothing would change the predicted destiny. As Qais grew up, he was sent to Damuseus for education at the religious school. The time for the prediction to come true had come. Qais was enchanted by Laila at her first sight and remained absorbed in her thoughts. All his friends and parents tried to divert his mind and asked to concentrate on studies, but he wouldn’t listen. The love of Qais had a magnetic effect upon Laila, and the Laila – Qais love tale reached the ears of the Najd chieftain. In order to protect his honour, he confronted his daughter to the four walls of his house. With Laila out of his sight, Qais lost self – control and he wandered in the woods of Najd like an insane person. Laila too grew frail in the absence of Qais. Her parents failed to prevail upon her and she found it beyond her to control herself. Qais had become abnormally obsessed with the love of Laila, so people began to call him Majnoon – the obsessed man, and he is known by this name till today. Majnoon has become the symbol, the synonym, and the living embodiment of profound love. One day Majnoon passed without knowing the palace of the Najd chieftain sighting and crying. “Ah Laila, Oh Laila!” Laila was, at that moment, talking to her father. She kept him busy with something else and ran to the window opening on the street Majnoon was passing by. All of a sudden he looked up and fell unconscious as he had a glimpse of his love Laila. After a while, when he recovered his consciousness, Laila consoled him, “My beloved Qais, Keep heart for a while, and don’t be impatient. I belong to you and I am inseparable from you.” Laila was consoling Majnoon but as she herself fell unconscious and fell down from the window with a loud thud. This made Majnoon unconscious again. She was picked up by her father and confined to the inner sanctum of his palace. His men drove away Majnoon to wilderness and left him there. After some time Shah Amari visited the Najd Chieftain and asked for the hand of his daughter Laila for his son Majnoon. Laila’s father told Shah Amari apologetically that his son was mad and he would not marry his daughter to him. Shah Amari beseeched him to see Majnoon and personally find out if he was really mad. “He is of course obsessed with his love Laila, but he isn’t mad,” said the Shah.
  • 18. Shah Amari then went out in search of his son. Majnoon lay unrobbed under a tree. When the Shah took him, he asked, “Who? Laila! My Laila!” Shah Amari pleaded with his son that if he is promised to behave normally in the presence of Laila’s father, he would be married to Laila. Majnoon agreed. A well made – up and richly attired Majnoon was taken to the palace of Najd chieftain who agreed to wed his daughter to him. In the meanwhile a dog entered the drawing room and it was introduced by the Najd chieftain as the pet of Laila. Majnoon immediately lifted the dog into his arms and kissed him passionately. Laila’s father was incensed at the scene and told Shah Amari that his son was definitely mad, otherwise he would never kissed the dog. The news of the Najd chieftain going back on his word to give his daughter in marriage to Majnoon spread throughout the town. This enraged another chieftain Naufeel who laid siege of his place and arrested him. Laila’s father pleaded with his captor, “Had you been the father of Laila, would you have giver her to mad boy in marriage? If yes, I will abide by your orders”. Naufeel immediately released the Najd chieftain. Laila was denied to her lover who wandered in the jungles crying, “Laila! My Laila!” Laila was married to Bakht, son of Ameer Salim. On the honeymoon night Bakht threw his arms around his bride to embrace her. She slapped Bakht on his face and said, “Majnoon alone could be my husband, you must not touch me”. Bakht was enraged and divorced Laila. As she got divorce, she left for the Najd jungle in search for her lover. She found him, and both of them lay unconscious in passionate embrace. Laila’s mother reached them right in time and took unconscious Laila home on her camel’s back. On regaining consciousness Laila became aware of the situation. She could not bear to be once again separated from her lover, and she died of the shock. The news of Laila’s death reached the ears of Majnoon and he too died instantaneously. The people of Najd who had earlier refused to recognize Majnoon were shocked to hear of his death. They went in search for his hid dead body, discovered it and brought it to the town. The funeral procession of the two lovers was taken out jointly. Laila and Majnoon had become martyrs at the altar of customs and tradition of their society. They could not be united in life depending on social sanction which was denied to them but they were united in death as it was within the reach of their heart. The dead bodies of Laila and Majnoon were laid side by side in one grave and the hands which had failed in the sacred duty of showering flowers on the loving couple were obliged to sprinkle dust and bury them. The lips which had refused to bless them now opened in sigh and sobs. But the love – saga of Laila – Majnoon shall live forever and ever. “Love lives forever and ever…”

This can result in the softening or tenderness of your “meat” as well, meaning that your lips, gums, and tongue might experience some tenderness or sensitivity if you eat too much pineapple. Bromelain is a powerful chemical, as is vitamin C, if taken in excess. Both of these are in high proportions in pineapple, and an “overdose” can lead to vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, headaches, and nausea. Also, bromelain has been known to stimulate menstruation, so pregnant women should avoid excessive pineapple, as the high levels of bromelain can actually lead to a miscarriage in rare cases.
