2. What Are Rational Numbers Any number which can be expressed in form of
𝑝
𝑞
, where p and q are
integers and (q>0).
Eg:
1
2
,−
2
3
etc.
Natural Numbers
Whole Numbers
5. (i) Commutative property over multiplication
(ii) Distributive property over addition
(iii) Associative property over addition
(iv) Existence of additive identity
(v) Existence of multiplicative identity
8. The number line for rational line will extend from - ∞ to ∞.
Rational Number can be represented as follows:
9. RATIONAL NUMBERS BETWEEN 2 RATIONAL
NUMBERS:
There can be infinite rational numbers between any two given
rational numbers.
There are 2 methods to find rational numbers between 2 rational numbers:
Method 1:We have to find the equivalent fraction of the given rational
numbers and write the rational numbers which come in between
these numbers. These numbers are the required rational numbers.
Method 2: We have to find the average of the 2 given rational numbers and the
mean is required rational number.
10. VEDIC MATHS( FIND LCM IN 4-7 SECONDS)
Let us take example of Find LCM of 2,4,8,16
We have to see whether highest number is divisible by other
number or not.
In this case every number is divisible by 16, so LCM IS 16.
11. Find LCM Of 2,3,7,21
Now we have to check is 21 divisible by other numbers
21 is not divisible by 2. So, we have to multiply by 2
21 × 2 = 42
42 is divisible by 3 and 7.
So, the LCM is 42
