For the Closest Location removal strategy, products are picked
based on the alphanumeric order of storage location titles.
The goal of this strategy is to save the warehouse worker from
taking a long journey to a farther shelf when the product is
also available at a closer location.

Step 1: Goto inventory > Configuration > Settings then enable
some fields

A location in a warehouse is a designated area, like a room,
aisle, or shelf.
● Partner locations: whereas partner locations are found
inside a customer's or vendor's warehouse. These
locations can be used by customer or vendor
warehouses,
● Virtual locations: Virtual locations are non-physical
places where items not in inventory can be placed and
are used for items not in inventory,
● Physical locations: The user's company owns the physical
locations, which house things like aisles and loading bays
and are used for product storage.

Workflow
● To see how the closest location removal strategy works,
consider the following example, featuring the popular
product, Demo, which is stored in WH/Stock/Shelf 1,
WH/Stock/Shelf 2, and WH/Stock/Shelf 3.

● Create a sale order for the demo product with quantity 18
units

● After adding the products, clicking Confirm creates a delivery
order that reserves items stored at the closest location, using
the removal strategy.
● Go to delivery order for the corresponding sale order and
check the stock moves

● The Pick from field displays where the quantities to fulfill
the Demand are picked. All five of the units stored at the
closest location, WH/Stock/Shelf 1, are picked first. The
remaining 10 units are then selected from the second
closest location, WH/Stock/Shelf 2. And remaining 3
quantity are then selected from the third location
WH/Stock/Shelf 3
