Job description
We would like to invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for
this permanent position. The main purpose of this position will be to work closely with
external customers, Global Sustainability and internal regional teams to define and
implement the Sustainability Strategy and vision across the Africa India Middle East (AIME)
region.
This position will execute joint business plans with customers as part of CHEP’s strategy to
differentiate from competition and drive incremental value for our customers, as well as
systematically work towards establishing a carbon neutral carbon footprint for CHEP, zero
waste in service centres and consistently reducing water consumption and fossil fuels in
energy
Desired Experience and Skills:
 3 year degree or equivalent – Specific studies in Sustainability
 5+ years experience in a multinational Company (experience in matrix organization)
 Active participation in leading Sustainability programs
 Interaction with senior level customers
 Supply chain sustainability projects
 Sustainability reporting
 Self-motivated and independent
 Strong interpersonal & communication skills

Responsibilities:
 Support the Global Head of Sustainability in the execution of the Sustainability
roadmap and its alignment with the business strategy.
 Adapt and implement the Global Sustainability Strategy in AIME
 Coordinate the implementation of global projects, ensuring best practice sharing
across regions.

2.  Define and develop sustainability value proposition, aligning it to internal and external
customer needs.
 Integrate sustainability value proposition in our services solutions, developing and
rolling out sustainability sales tools to the customers and customer facing staff,
including training
 Successfully engage with largest/leading customers in the topic of sustainability,
offering support to our commercial teams.
 Implement reduction program to achieve sustainability objectives, including but not
limited to energy, GHG, waste.
 Execute initiatives to meet sustainability targets in energy, water and waste
reductions, and in exceeding our human rights and employee commitments.
 Develop and implement a people engagement/ CSR strategy in relation to the
Sustainability strategy.
 Manage a full communications program (including both structured and ad hoc
communications) to share information around Brambles environment principles,
performance and position across products/services with key stakeholder groups.
 Represent CHEP in industry event and forums and customer interactions around
sustainability
 Manage staff, ensure personal development and growth in discipline
 Define external reporting strategy and build external reporting.
 Interface and facilitate engagement with global industry bodies, sustainability
associations and investor community.
 Generate Asia Pacific annual sustainability reporting to Brambles.
