Six degrees of separation: Notion that everyone in
the world is connected to everyone else by no more
than 6 people
Activity
3. Airmen Network
Who you know rather than what
you know
How many people in here know
someone at X base?
4. Expertise in
Networking
It takes 10,000 hours to become
a pro at a given task or skill.
Hard work is required to
become the “go to” guy
5. Social Network
Products of your environment or stimulus to your
surroundings
What do you provide your friends? Support?
Criticism? Are they the naysayer? Are you?
What do they provide you? Give and take of course
Be the friend you want to have, remember that
repeat business customers usually come back for the
experience
7. Give Back, Volunteering
Network
Remember everyone needs something, and not
everyone is able to help themselves
Many great personal friendships and mentors have
been found while volunteering to give back to your
base or your community
8. Mentorship Network
Find a good mentor, it may take a while and some
networking
Be a good mentor. You will be there quickly…..
9. Lifelong Network
The AF is a tool to increase your skills and capability
