2. ACADEMIC WEB RESOURCES
 Academic web resources are very useful for teaching learning process.
 It play a main role in educational field .
 These web resource enhances the learning level of students.

3. E-JOURNALS
 E-journals are electronic journals and is a periodic publication which is
published in electronic format, usually on the internet
 It consist of full text and bibliographic database.
 Full –text database contain the whole content of an article such as citation
information, text, illustration, diagrams and tables.
 Bibliographic database only contain citation information of an article, such
as author’s name, journal title, publication date and page number.

4.  Publishers of e-journals through consortia of libraries at much lower rate.
 INDEST & INFLIBNET are two such consortia that is operating in India.

printed version. i.e. Blackwell, Blackwell Navigator etc.

10. DISADVANTAGES OF E-JOURNALS
 Technical barrier-hardware and software, network connection, etc.
 Infrastructure snag-bandwidth and local shedding issue, etc.
 Require skill and training to use.
 Cost to acquire e –resource can be high –technology and content.
 User unfriendliness depend on platform.

 It is a Dictionary that is available on the internet.
 It is immediate,
 Has direct access through large database to a world’s spelling and meanings
 a host of ancillary information, including its variants spelling, pronunciation,
infected forms, origin and derived forms as well as supplementary notes on
matter

 The largest and most trusted free online dictionary for learners of British and
American English with definitions, pictures, example sentences, synonyms.
 It is an online version of the Oxford English Dictionary contains all work to date of
the third edition, reflecting daily updates and revisions.

 Free; There are numerous dictionaries online that are available for free and people
don’t have to pay for using them.
 Quick; It make only a second for finding a word , all we have to do is to type in the
search box and press search.
 Legible; As compared to print dictionary, the font size of online dictionary is far more
legible .people don’t have to strain their eye when looking a word in online dictionary
 Learning tool; It is an excellent tool for people who has a hunger for knowledge. They
have branches out there of various aspects.
Furthermore, these dictionaries are also offering the features of translation. They can
translates word into different languages such as translation in Korean, Italian, English etc.

17. DISADVANTAGES OF ONLINE
DICTIONARY
 There are myriad arguments used to support the claim that online dictionary
affect the students adversely. The first and the most important is that health of
students is adversely affected.it is clear that students often use technology device
namely computer or laptop to work and research. However recent research
showed that the more technical equipment is used, higher the possibility of
electromagnetic waves which made them stressful.

 Academic web resource are very useful in teaching learning process.
 It will enhance the level of education and provide flexible way of accessing
information.
 Apart from e-journals and online dictionary there are many other web resources
like websites ,blogs, research news, debates, Wikipedia etc. These are considered
to be the best tool for learning process.
 Digital libraries offer more information than most individual in school and
classroom are accessible and digital libraries provide rare and unique material in
classroom and at home.
 Thus the use of these aid should be promoted for better teaching learning quality
