Efficiency looks at what is currently being produced and
compares that with what could be achieved with the
existing consumption of resources.
4. Effective vs Efficient
Effective is defined as successful in producing a desired or
intended result.
Efficient is measurable. It is one of the main factors when
determining productivity – however, productivity focuses
on quantity while efficiency is all about quality and
eliminating wastefulness. It signifies a level of
performance that describes a process that utilizes the
minimum of inputs to create the greatest amounts of
output, i.e. getting more out of less.

desirable goals to present reality. By imagining the future and then
imagining obstacles of reality, one recognizes that measures need to
be taken to overcome the obstacles to achieve the desired future
The power of believing that you can improve-believing in your
intelligence, education and efforts.
Dealing with temptation- sticking to one’s plan is hard work.
The power of small steps- nothing is more motivating than the
power of small wins. As the saying goes, “The journey of a thousand
miles begins with one step.”
Anticipated regret- anticipated regret can promote goal
achievement via guilt about missed opportunity.
