Courses are planned in an interrelated manner to achieve the objectives of the educational program. A course consists of various interrelated units. When planning a course, its content and level must be appropriate for students and contribute to the overall program objectives. The course content should also be experience-based, sensitive to changing health needs, and promote continuing learning and personal/professional development from a transcultural perspective related to allied fields. An effective course plan outlines the description, objectives, student level, time allotment, field experiences, content organization, teaching methods, learning activities, evaluation, and references.
