Editor's Notes
Zamboanga Peninsula is the agri-fishery capital of the country. Being situated in a peninsula, Region Office IX offers a job fit for learners as many large fishing companies are located in Zamboanga City, and fishing ports in the provinces and cities. This factor has significantly increased the enrolment of the SHS, most particularly on TVL-Agri-fishery and fishery-related strands. Per Public SHS report of enrolment for SY 2020-2021, more than half of the total number of its enrolment has been recorded. Even in the regional landscape, Agri-Fishery strands are promoted to provide livelihood education to students to develop their competencies and skills towards the attainment of DepEd’s goal thereby contributing to nation-building.
