3. • Here we chose a similar image to that of the front cover of the CD in
order to have a clear product identity. The image was turned black
and white whilst the balloons stayed in colour. Then the titles of the
songs were chosen, it was important to have names such as ‘Cold’
and ‘Daydream’ as it tied well with the theme of the album and the
genre of the band. The font was kept simple so as not to make the
page seem cluttered, it was also the same font used in the front cover
and the magazine advert.
4. • Here the date of when the CD has been produced and who
it had been distributed by was added alongside a barcode.
‘Digital copy kills music’ was added to show the audience
the importance of copyright and the detriments of illegal
downloading to music that they love.
5. • Here the website ‘Gatz.com’ spelling ‘Goda and the
zoo’ was added. This was the same as the one on the
magazine cover, again to have a clear product identity.

7. Conclusion
• The back cover was as equally effective as the
front cover in that it had a similar theme with
the added detailing such as barcode and song
titles. Regardless of that we tried to keep it
simple, in keeping with the simplicity of the
genre and the ideas in the album.
