Conflict affects children in multiple ways. Children are supposed to be eating three meals a day, they are supposed to be interacting with other kids and getting home to their parents. Instead, millions found themselves walking miles to get to a safe place without proper clothes, not knowing if they will have a meal that day, and exposed to risks of exploitation or death. This presentation and the ones that will follow focus on one important area of conflict: their education.
It is horrible to think that conflict has deprived them of their own childhood but its hopeful to know organizations like UNICEF and the IRC are trying to better their situation. One way to do it is investing in their education.
