2. JSA: CTR 2022 - Interventions
1. Water Conservation & Rainwater Harvesting:-
• Renovation of traditional and other water bodies/ tanks;
• Recharge using old bore wells;
• Watershed development;
• Roof top rainwater harvesting in all government buildings, particularly
panchayat offices, anganwadis, schools and PHCs.
• De-silting of tanks, reuse and recharge of borewells,
• Rejuvenation of small rivers and rivulets, Revival of wetlands, Spring
shed development.
2. Identify water bodies, Geo-tagged & enter on revenue record;
Preparation Of Water Conservation Plan.

3. 3. Jal Shakti Kendras
• Jal Shakti Kendra (JSK) in all district headquarters.
• Out of 33 districts, 11 has uploaded JSK. 22 Bank Account complete
4. IntensiveAfforestation
• Afforestation drives to be taken up to plant as saplings to increase green cover.
5. Awareness Generation
• Gram Sabha, Jal Shapath
• Programs/events to create awareness for school - college students about water
conservation & rain water harvesting.
• Awareness campaign through Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS)
• Wall paintings, Posters, Prabhat pheri, Rellies
• Community mobilization through NYKS, KVKs, NGOs

4. Monitoring & Reporting
• District Collector : District Nodal officer
• Prant officer : Taluka Nodal officer
• Regular uploading of activities/ works undertaken on JSA: CTR
Portal along with photographs.
• Taking stock of achievement in September 2022 and
reporting/documenting
• Awareness campaign conservation of water becomes a ‘Jan
Andolan’.

5. Amrit Sarovar
• Creation / Rejuvenation of the Amrit Sarovars
• Size minimum area of 1 Acre
• Atleast 75 in each District
• Resources available from MGNREGS, XV Finance Commission
Grants, PMKSY-WDC, PMKSY-HKKP-RRR or similar schemes.
I. By 23th April 2022: Identification of the potential site
II. 24th April 2022: Start of Amrit Sarovar Work
III. By 15th August2023: Completion of construction
