Discuss With GA & Arrange a inter Yala Meeting During COVID Lock down
Mostly Black gram Cultivated in Low Land & Harvested (350kg/Ac)
Farmers Get income 200,000/Ac
Next Season the OFC in Low Land increased to 600 Acs by the result of this.
 Measuring Excess Cultivation in Vavunikulam
In 2019, Farmers cultivated more than Meeting Decision in Yala
Water Scarcity raised due to excess cultivation for tail end Farmers
Measure the Cultivation using GPS with the help of FOs & Tos.
The water issue re-arranged on Time Basis
The 400 acs of excess cultivation too saved by the time basis issue
The excess cultivators fined in next Maha
The Measured Document compiled & used to define cultivation area

precautions with help of farmers & Military.
Sharing of Water to Drinking Water Supply
A request from NWSDB to share the water (800ac.ft/yr) from Vavunikulam Tank
Farmers opposed to share the water initially.
I proposed Karumpulliyan tank which is a feeder tank of Vavunikulam which have
a own capacity of 900 ac.ft.
I explained the farmers regarding the CKD patients in that area & importance of
sharing as without much reduction in their Cultivation & Convinced them.
As NWSDB’s existing water tank is located near this tank, They too agreed.
2.4 Interpersonal Skills
Undermining of CO spill in Maruthankulam
A undermining in CO Spill was observed in Maruthankulam.
I Coordinate with DS, Disaster Management, Farmers & Downstream Tank IE &
Military.
Attended to Prevent the undermining but LB abutment was collapsed.
Make a sand bag barrier & keep 4’ of water to save the Paddy cultivated.
During the April Rainfall Season increased the temporary barrier height & keep 6’
water.
Cultivate & harvested 60 acs of Paddy in that yala Season.
Carryout the design & Close the CO Spill & extended the already available
