16. ENVIRONMENTAL CAUSES (TERATOGENS):
An agent which causes a birth defect or mal- formations
of an embryo fetus is known as a teratogen. Teratology is
the study of develop- mental defects . If mother is
exposed to teratogens during pregnancy, it can produce
