7. SCOPE OF THE RESEARCH
This study aims to determine the teacher's perception or
view of the use of crossword puzzles in improving students'
vocabulary mastery, vocabulary learning techniques and
methods, learning media, and classroom management.

and word attack skills.

synonyms of the words clues are right there to
provide reinforcement.
3. Crossword puzzles can also be used to
encourage the use of a dictionary or thesaurus
or to learn terminology used in particular
subject. They can be used as a quiz.

14. The subject of this research is the English teachers at SMP Negeri
18 Palu, SMP Negeri 19 Palu, and MTs An Nur Buuts.
For this study, the sample was English teachers who met certain
criteria. And the criteria used as research samples are:
1. Have experience about teaching English using crossword puzzle
game
2. Ready to be a research resource.
3. Knowing about English teaching methods.
In this study, there are two teachers per school who will be the
research sample. So that the sample that will be used from this
research is six English teachers.
