EXPERIENCE (2.8 Years)
1. IIT Kanpur (July 14 – November 14), Project Engineer
Under Prof. S.N Tripathi, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Kanpur
Project Description: BARC project for providing proposed National Aerosol Facility for testing to
prove protection of Nuclear Power Plant Hazards at IITK
Preparing piping isometric drawing using P&ID given by BARC.
CFD analysis of mixing chamber using Ansys 14.0 for mixing of Aerosol with other gases and
water vapour.
Project report with detailed drawing along with isometric piping.
Facility layout, detailed system design (process and mechanical) and fabrication drawings.
Three steps will be done
o Aerosol generation system
o Piping System
o Containment system
o Installation of plant
I involved in piping system with Team of IITK and BARC i.e. designing of plant which will be
installed in lab and then required experimental testing will be done. Enhancing my skill set with study
of P&ID, isometric in AutoCAD, process engineering & installation for piping system.
2. IIT Kanpur ( Mar 13 - June 14 ), Project Associate
Under Prof. C. Venkatesan, Department of Aerospace Engineering, IIT Kanpur
Development of engine test bed & characterization of a small two stroke gasoline engine for mini
helicopter. Major issue during development was coupling section & alignment of shaft.
Performance testing practical Experiments of Zenoah G260PUH (Two stroke gasoline engine) is
done upto50% throttle opening which is presently being used to power Autonomous Mini
Helicopter in Helicopter lab IIT Kanpur.
The performance measurements taken during test are engine power, Torque, cylinder head &
exhaust gas temperatures at various throttle positions as a function of engine rpm.
2. During Engine test we are using dynamometer & controller with magtrol mtest software &
Lab VIEW 2011 program for throttle control & for data acquisition of fuel weight, throttle
percentage, valve angle, temperature etc.
Worked in an arrangement for exhaust emission test & for Using NI PXI for data acquisition
through LabVIEW2011.
Servo calibrated for throttle open & close positions.
Designing required designs used in test bed using Design Software’s Auto CAD (Majorly), CATIA,
Solid Works (for some part design).
Additionally designing professor’s next book figures for development of helicopters using Design
Software’s AutoCAD (Majorly), CATIA, Solid Works.
Additionally one work is Involvement in Load cell experiments and some other mechanical
experimental aspects.
3. IIT Kanpur (Sept 11 -July 12 ), Project Associate
Under Prof. A.K.Ghosh, Department of Aerospace Engineering, IIT Kanpur
Worked as a flight testing coordinator for testing with Piper Saratoga & Hansa3 Aircrafts.
Data Acquisition with NI-DAQ during flight testing in various modes like Aircraft Cruise,
Climb & stability test, Steady coordinated turn, steady Side Slip position of Aircraft from
instrument panel of aircraft in the flight.
Analysis of data recorded in various modes of flight testing.
Elevator deflection, Aileron deflection, Rudder deflection, Angle of attack, Side slip angle, Stick
force in laptop using LabVIEW7.1 in flight
Analyze data collected by laptop & collected by Aircraft Instrument Panel during Aircraft flight
experiment test.
Evaluating performance of aircraft using collected data of engine parameters by instrument panel in
flight.
Plotting graphs on Excel using collected data of flight parameters like Control Surface Deflections,
Angles, Stick Forces for estimation of stability characteristics obtained by recorded data ( using
LABVIEW) during flight.
I have done flight experiments with team of student’s of IIT KANPUR, IIT KHARAGPUR, IIT
MADRAS, PEC CHANDIGARH, MIT MADRAS ETC at IIT KANPUR.
INTERNSHIPS DURING COLLEGE STUDIES:
June-2010 (4 Weeks) Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, Kanpur
Working & handling process of all dept.
Taken management point of view of Different Divisions in HAL Kanpur
July-2009 (4 Weeks) Panki Thermal Power Station, Kanpur
Examine Boiler Maintenance & Management.
Study of plant operation & operating management of various divisions.
COLLEGE PROJECT WORK: Hybrid Renewable Power Plant
In this plant two renewable energy resources are used
1. Wind energy
2. Solar energy
Storage is being done in one battery that’s why it is hybrid.
More reliable because stand alone wind & solar are comparatively less effective.
As the wind does not blow all the time nor does the sun shine all the time, solar and wind power alone are
poor power sources. Hybridizing solar and wind sources to get her with storage batteries to covert periods of
time is very effective way to manage the two things at a time. It will come under smart working, good
management and money saving idea.
3. ACADEMICS ACHIEVEMENTS (College Time)
