ACADEMIC PROJECTS
 Modeling of Automotive Powertrain for a four wheel drive vehicle April – Dec 2015
 Developed a mathematical model of a four wheel drive vehicle using the following powertrain components:
Engine, Transmission (Torque Converter and Planetary Gear), Lower Powertrain, Brakes with the use of
MATLAB/Simulink.
 Stateflow was also used to perform the function of gear selection in an automatic transmission.
 For a given throttle condition, the Engine Speed and Vehicle Speed were simulated.
 Article Review on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Simulation Dec 2014
 Studied and wrote a review on the working of HIL simulation systems which also includes a description of
the prototype controller implemented by National Instruments (NI) PXI Real time embedded control system.
 Development of a Simulink Model for an Inverted Pendulum Controller Nov 2014
 Simulated digital closed loop control systems in Simulink and implemented algorithms to estimate the
coefficients of the state space model in MATLAB for an Inverted Pendulum Controller.
 Development of Power Simulator and Deployable Solar Panel for 2U- CubeSat Feb – April 2014
 Developed a Power System Simulator and designed a deployable tracking mechanism for the solar panel
on a 2U- CubeSat using Arduino Microcontroller.
 The Orbit Average Power Profile was also determined and analyzed to ensure maximum power generation
capabilities of the solar panels using MATLAB.
 Development of an Autonomous Obstacle Avoiding Bot using Arduino as a PLC Sept – Nov 2012
 An Autonomous Bot was designed as an Obstacle Avoider with an algorithm written in the Arduino IDE
Compiler to ensure the bot transverses smoothly.

 Worked on the modeling of an Unglazed Solar Collector which has the dual purpose of creating power from
embedded photovoltaic (PV) cells and provide heat to an air stream passing beneath the absorbing PV
surface.
 Wrote a MATLAB code to find the temperature of the PV panel and the air channel mean temperatures by
simulation.
