Approach  Closely observed boiler and its mountings, turbine, cooling tower and the process involved in the power generation.
 Studied all the safety measures taken by the employees in the plant.

Approach  Produced a plastic key ring using the self manufactured mould by hand injection moulding machine.

“Aero-Thermal Analysis of Foil Air Thrust Bearing” under Prof Subrata Sarkar ,IIT Kanpur : M. Tech Project [Aug’15 –Jan’16]
 Sponsored by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
 Modeled Fluid and solid domain in Autodesk Inventor and exported it to ANSYS CFX 13.
 Generated fully structured mesh successfully.
 Obtained temperature, velocity and pressure distribution over the rigid as well as flexible bearing and thus obtained its
load.carrying capacity.
“Numerical Analysis of Microchannel Heat sink” under Prof D.Mohapatra ,ITER(BBSR) : B. Tech Project [Aug’13 – Apr’14]

 Modelled the rectangular microchannel in ANSYS design-modeler.
 Obtained temperature and velocity distribution along with value of average heat transfer coefficient.

 Heat transfer coefficient was observed to be high with micro length scale and nano fluid was suggested as coolant.
“FEM Project in Fluid and Thermal Sciences” under Prof N.N Kishore ,IIT Kanpur : Course Project
 Performed Transient heat conduction analysis using 3 noded triangular elements ,on a rectangular 2D plate at 100
o
C.
 Coding was done in MATLAB.
 Obtained plot of temperature contours at various time steps using Techplot
“Analysis of difficulties involved in working of micro-refrigerator” under Prof. P.K Panigrahi (HOD mech), IIT Kanpur : Term paper

 Did analysis by evaluating entropy generation at each component of refrigerator using length scale concept.
 Concluded that as the mechanical refrigerator is miniaturized, COP decreases and can even go negative. 

“CFD Project in Fluid and Thermal Sciences” under Prof Subrata Sarkar ,IIT Kanpur : Course Project
 Generated Grid using elliptic equation for the analysis of flow over half cylinder using MATLAB. (led team of 2)
 Generated grid using algebraic method over 2D plate tapered on one side and obtained steady state temperature distribution.
 Did analysis of Lid Driven Cavity using stream-vorticity formulation and thus obtained streamlines. (led team of 3)
