Team Lead – Grooms Provisioner (2002 – Present)
Promoted to provide advanced technical expertise and problem solving skills to DS3/DS1/DSO provision
backbone initiatives for out-of-region long distance division serving 4.1 million long-distance customers;
operating within parameters based on organizational goals and company policy, typical objectives included
achieving savings of more than $50,000 monthly. Provide recommendations and insight into headcount,
equipment and travel budget administration.
Daily activities and position responsibilities include database management, front-end provisioning for
switched access orders, equal access issues and resolution of unusual and complex carrier issues;
contributed to selection of data, instruction, and knowledge of departmental procedures and systems, and
assisted with orders and billing to maintain complete customer satisfaction.
Manage and mentor 24 associates conducting non-routine technical support of circuit orders, reviewing
circuit provisioning requests for accuracy and documenting circuit provisioning activities; responsible for
employee hiring/firing/promotions/transfers/evaluations, granted/recommended raises, delegated projects, and
steered group productivity to optimum efficiency, rapid turnaround and completion of team objectives.
• Throughout tenure in position guided $4.5 million in savings thus successfully meeting
management challenge of $150,000 savings per month.
• Currently in collaboration with subject matter experts (working in concert with IT) on system
enhancement initiative expected to increase productivity and save approximately $100,000 monthly;
initiative includes user-friendly improvement to system allowing streamlined provisioning process via
creation of 1 user interface versus 4.
• Clearly visible in resolution of customer outage issues negatively affecting service; contributed to

• Contributed to MCI Unidentified Circuit Project resulting in $1 million savings to Qwest bottom line;
project resolved circuits not detailed in Qwest databases and transferred customer billing to MCI Worldcom
by collaborating with MCIWorldcom employees and Qwest Carrier Management team to document
circuits/customers transferred from Qwest to MCIWorldcom as facet of sales coordination between both
companies. Major portion of project included update to database systems to maintain system

Supervisor – Network Switched Provisioning (1999 – 2002)
Oversaw and delegated projects to staff of 24 network provisioners while simultaneously ensuring
technique development and performance feedback to facilitate professional growth as well as
department improvements; regularly communicated with colleagues in management of database.
• Increased productivity with excellent on-the-job training resulting in satisfaction of management
expectations of completing 1,500 orders and saving $150,000 per month.
Network Provisioner III/II (1997 – 2001)
Promoted to team lead to provide leadership in circuit provisioning design, order moderately complex
circuits, and supported field operations and NCC amidst resolution of provisioning issues.
Network Routing Engineer … LCI International (1996 – 1997)
Accountable for accurate routing and delivery of LCI-originated 800 traffic via relative SMS 800 database;
scope of role included management of network profile details and carrier clients on 800 service application,
design and maintenance of LCI 800 network routing database, assistance with creation of management systems
for 800 applications, and planning and implementation of network routing changes in national database for 300
service.
• Played pivotal role in $1.5 million net savings involving transfer of 800 numbers from MCI
Worldcom network onto Sprint Canada network; batched 800 numbers twice daily to Sprint Canada via
LCI databases, liaised with Sprint Canada representatives to ensure reception of 800 numbers, and
worked in concert with IT systems development team on system improvements to enhance security and
functionality of data transfer.
Planning Analyst … LCI International (1994 – 1996)
Supported administration of off/on-net facilities via order process of new facilities based on current
traffic economics and results of network traffic monitoring/analysis; position responsibilities included
comprehensive review of network reports to gauge trunk group performance and protected growth,
recommendations for modifications to improve growth and performance, research into methods to reduce costs
associated with local exchange carriers (LEC’s), other common carriers (OCC’s) and interexchange carriers
usage (IXC’s), and investigation into local exchange carrier request for trunk sizing changes and tandem
changes. Simultaneously assisted NCC operations with origination and termination of traffic issues and provided
insight to switch engineering into required routing updates aimed at securing lowest cost facilities used for switch
network traffic.
