 We have a varied timetable, including all areas of the
curriculum, with links made between the different areas.

7. Family Time
 Time to share and support a learning
opportunity with your child, and to
discuss their learning with them.
 Starts at 2.15pm and finishes at
2.45pm, when adults will leave to give
children time to tidy up and get ready
for home time.

9. Literacy
 Literacy applied in different areas of curriculum
 Active Literacy used throughout the school
 Spelling – Children focus on a set of words each week. Will be
available for children to take home if they feel they need extra
practise.
 Handwriting – Letter formation is very important. Weekly handwriting
lessons.
 Writing – Focus on writing skills across genres. Peer and self-
evaluation used to develop ability to self-check.
 Reading – comprehensions skills, not just fluency. Reading homework
will be set weekly. Encourage reading for enjoyment too!
 Word Aware – word of the day

 Numeracy and maths skills will be taught in
focused lessons and children will be given the
